Our Opening School mass will take place this Thursday 27th October at 12.15pm in Ballymote Church.  All welcome to attend.

This week first and second years are engaging with Minecraft hour of code as part of their EU Week of Code activities!

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Our extra-curricular programme is in full swing with girls and boys GAA, soccer and basketball training and fixtures.  In addition, our TY students, our choir and our Art students are enjoying many trips out of school.

Striking the balance between teaching and learning and extra-curricular involvement for students and staff is key.  Our staff have, to date, given generously their time to accompany students to various fixtures/events over the past few weeks.  While absent, staff leave work for those students remaining at school and while this is sufficient, we are conscious that the time in the classroom is impeded.  

To continue to run the schedule we have in place will require assistance from parents.  If you are in a position to help by travelling to matches or trips with students, we would love to hear from you.  The more help we have, the less work for each volunteer.  Please email me at <13>principal@cmbm.ie before Friday next 21st October if you would like to assist us.

Students can now order from our Canteen menu in our School app for lunch delivery Monday to Thursday. Orders must be placed before midnight the night before.  Orders can also be placed up to 7 days in advance. 

We are looking forward to working with Henry's Gala on this new venture and look forward to getting this service established in our school.

The first meeting of your new parents association will be held this evening, Thursday 27th October at 7pm in the school GP room. I look forward to meeting you over a cuppa on the evening.

We will be joined on the evening by Mr. James Connors who is the current Chairperson of Moyne Community School's Parents Association in Co. Longford and is also Vice President of the CSSPA (Catholic Secondary School's Parents Association). James will take us through the operation of a successful parents association and advise us on the role and functions of it. 

There is still time to come on board - if you wish to do so, please come along this evening.
