Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
The HSE will visit the school tomorrow, Wednesday 19th to administer vaccinations to 1st year students who have had consent provided.
Kind regards,

Our 6th year student, Malachi Drew, along with his Mum Yvonne, will sleep out on Friday 14th October to raise funds for Focus Ireland's Shine-a-Light Night campaign in aid of the homeless. We have organised a non-uniform day to support Malachi which will take place tomorrow Thursday 13th October and are asking ALL students to donate €2.
The link to donate further, if you wish to do so is here
On Tuesday 4th October, our TY class gave their classmate Maks a fond farewell over a cup of tea as he finished with us to return to the Ukraine. We are sorry to see Maks leave as he had settled in so well with us, but we are delighted to see him and his family return to their home and we wish them well for a safe return.
Looking out from our school entrance this morning, we see this lovely double rainbow!
Double rainbows are formed when sunlight is reflected twice within a raindrop wiht the violet light that reaches the observers eye coming from the higher raindrops and the red light from lower raindrops.
A double rainbow can also be thought of an indicator of good luck and prosperity!
We are looking forward to our 1st year Bonding Tour tomorrow to Letterkenny and wish our 1st years a wonderful day together. Thanks to Ms. Heaney McGreal, Ms Greene and Mr O'Connor who will travel with the students.
Due to unforeseen circumstances , our original bus booking was cancelled. We have now secured buses to travel to Letterkenny this Thursday at a new cost of €38 per student for travel and activities. Can all students bring the money in tomorrow Wed to the office. Please put the money in an envelope with students name and class group clearly marked. Thank you.
6th year Phys-Chem students have been doing experiments today as part of their study of mechanics and light with Mr. Coen.
Colaiste Muire 7-17 - 2-08 Colaiste Iascaigh
The Senior girls got off to a winning start today in the Connacht League at home to Colaiste Iascaigh on Wednesday 21st September. The game was played in a friendly manner with some very good displays from both sides. The game got off to a frantic start with the home side scoring a few early goals. However, Colaiste Iascaigh came back into the game and scored a fine team goal to leave the game at 2-06 to 1-03 at half time. Colaiste Muire kicked on in the second half and fine scores by Aoife Lyons, Marie Donoghue & Laura Foley settled the game as a contest. This was very good effort by the girls who will now look forward to a game against The Mercy College in two weeks time. The school would like to thank Ballymote GAA for the use of their facilities and Gus Chapman for refereeing the match.
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
Please check with your child that they have downloaded the school app, registered and logged in. We will begin using the attendance feature with students in the coming days - students will use a QR code on a keyfob when signing in late or signing out of school before the end of the school day. All other normal procedures will apply, e.g. collecting students from the office when signing out. You will be notified when your child signs in/out via the app. The keyfob will also be used to collect food ordered from our canteen service, starting in October.
Many thanks,
Michelle McDermott
