The 2nd year German class had a great trip to Sligo on 24th November to watch a German Film (Der Pfad - the path) in The Model Sligo. This was a great opportunity for students to be exposed to the subject in a fun way. The film itself was very interesting and thought provoking with links to history. The students not only enjoyed the film but also the mandatory retail therapy time before the return train to Ballymote.
Dear Parent/Guardian
Over the coming days your son/daughter be given an application form for an ISIC student identity card. This is being organised through the Student Council in the school in conjunction with the Irish Second-Level Students Union (ISSU). This card offers many student discounts as well as being a valid student ID card. More information can be found on the application form. If you would like your child to avail of the card, please return the application form (signed by a parent) along with €15 on Wednesday 7th December. Do not return the form or fee before this date as the form and fee will be given directly to the ISSU representative on this date.
Kind Regards

The senior boys got off to a great start in their first FAI connacht match beating Lacken Cross, Kilala 5-0 (07.10.2022)
The game was very even during the opening ten minutes with both teams missing two very good chances to go ahead. However, it was the home side that took the lead with Thomas Sweeney tapping in a goal from a lovely cross by Emmauel Oyewusi. From there Colaiste Muire started to move through the gears and got their second when Emmauel Oyewusi showed great composure and slotted home from close range.
The game ebbed and flowed and Lacken missed a glorious chance to pull one back as the ball just went left of the target. Then, on the 41st miunute Luke Devaney hit a wonderful strike from outside the box which ended up in the bottom corner to leave the lads up 3-0 at half time.
The second half started much the same with Colaiste Muire dominating the play and on the 51st minute Thomas Sweeney scored a brillant solo goal which put the lads up 4-0 and cruising. The final goal of the game came from great work down the left by Oisin Brennan who crossed the ball into the box for Luke Devaney to tap it in.
It was a great effort by the lads who will now look forward to an away fixture Vs St Joseph’s, Charlestown next Friday.
Thanks to Ballymote Soccer club for the use of their facilities and Steve Cannon who kindly lined the pitch for the game today.
