Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s)
The Family Resource centre in Ballymote is collaboratively working with both secondary schools in the town to run a creative programme called the 'Teen Toolkit Programme' with 2nd year students. The programme will run in the Family Resource Centre for 4 weeks beginning this Thursday 23rd February and finishing on the 16th March. The students will be accompanied to the venue by a teacher.
Each week the participants will learn new techniques and skills based on their needs. The sessions are full of creativity, are very interactive and practically based. This programme links in very well with the schools wellbeing programme. Should you have any questions about the programme itself, do not hesitate to contact Niamh Flaherty at coordinatorballymotefrc@gmail.com
Kind Regards
Fiona McNamee.
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
Apologies, the link sent out yesterday did not work. Please see updated link below.
As part of our School Self Evaluation (SSE) process, we are reviewing our wellbeing structures. To this end, we value your input and would appreciate 5 minutes of your time to answer the questions in our SSE survey.
Please complete this survey before Friday 24th February 2023 - please note that you can complete more than one form for each of your children if you wish as some of the answers may be different for different year group experiences.
Kind Regards
The very best of luck to the Junior Boys GAA team in their Connacht D final tomorrow against Mohill.
Dear Parents/Students
Thank you to those of you who attended last evening’s presentation on options after 6th year. I hope that you found it informative. You can access the slides on the Guidance page of the school website at https://www.cmbm.ie/pages/guidance.php. Also, if you have any questions or would like clarification on anything, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Ms Cullinan.
Also, I want to draw your attention to an additional information session being run by the Sligo branch of the ICG, which might be of interest to some of you. For more information and to register for the event click on https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/cao-and-other-pathways-information-evening-for-parentsguardians-tickets-429072516447. This is a ticketed event for parents, so parents need to register in advance.
Finally, 6th year students were shown a CAO demo application in class this week. I would encourage any student who wishes to apply to CAO to make that application now to avail of the reduced rate.
Kind Regards
Fiona McNamee

The portal opened at 1pm on Wednesday 8 February for candidates to confirm their subject entries and levels. It will remain open for this purpose until 5pm Tuesday 21 February.
It is essential that Leaving Cert students register through the Portal as this Portal will provide you with the opportunity to confirm that your personal details are correct (i.e. Name and Date of Birth), your subject choice and levels, registration will also allow future access to your results and for the later stages of the process such as the appeals application process.
Click here to login CSSP 2023.
There is helpdesk support available for candidates at 1800-111135 or 1800-111136 between 9am to 5pm until Tuesday 21 February. Outside of these hours you can email candidateportal@examinations.ie
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
We are again considering offering an after-school study club after Christmas (starting Monday 9th January) and up until Easter (Friday 31st March).
The club will run from 4.15pm to 6.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Fridays.
It will cost €4 per evening to attend.
Study will be offered subject to demand, thus if your child would like to attend, please complete the expression of interest form below before tomorrow, Wednesday 21s December.
Currently, we do not have enough numbers to run study in the new year, but if we had a few more applicants, we might make it work!
Kind regards,
Michelle McDermott
