TY Christmas Fair - December 8th

The TY Christmas fair was a roaring success yesterday. Each company was delighted with the level of support from staff and students, which proved that all their hard work in preparation was all worth it. The atmosphere was lovely, lots of smiling faces, sing alongs and bellies full. It was a great way to kickstart the run into the Christmas holidays.

Congratulations and thank you AJ Tighe for representing us at the Connacht Schools Athletics indoor combined event for minor boys today. AJ came 12th overall, a great achievement for his age. AJ will compete for us again in the Spring. Well done AJ

We welcome Sophie, an exchange teacher from France to our school! Sophie is an English teacher in France and she is with us for two weeks to assist our French students with their spoken French! She will depart again this Friday! Au revoir Sophie et merci beaucoup!

Our first year students enjoyed a game of cards and a few treats with their Big Brothers and Big Sisters (TY mentors) today! We are delighted to have this programme back in our school in conjunction with Foroige.

U14 Girls GAA Update

The u14's Girls were out in action on 30th November against a very strong Coola Team. The girls put in a great effort but unfortuately came out on the wrong side of the result.
The girls now look forward to their last game of the year when they play Enniscrone in two weeks time!

Silver for Coláiste Muire Choir!

Congratulations to our school choir on their silver success today at the Derry International Choral Festival! This is our choir’s second success in less than 6 months having achieved third class honours in Wesley College last March.
Congratulations and thanks to Charles O’Connor and Rosario Heaney McGreal who have both worked tirelessly with the group for the past few weeks.
