*** Reminder ***
The first instalment of the 2024/25 school fees are due today, 1st of August 2024.
Please see attached from Belong To:
Our Better Out Than In campaign, developed in collaboration with Belong To’s Youth Advisory Panel, is well under way and we’re seeing a huge, positive response.
This is our annual mental health and wellbeing campaign which encourages LGBTQ+ young people to seek support when struggling. We do this by providing tips and strategies to protect their wellbeing and an online hub detailing a range of support services - there is always someone to talk to.
Webinar for Parents of LGBTQ+ Youth – Today
Later today, from 7pm to 8.15pm, we’re hosting a free webinar, as part of the campaign, for parents and carers to support them to support LGBTQ+ young people, in collaboration with Pieta.
At this event, Belong To’s Family Support Worker, members of the clinical team from Pieta and Clinical Psychologist, Dr Brendan Dunlop will share advice and guidance on how to support young people through challenges faced growing up LGBTQ+.
There are still places available to register and you can find full details below.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Attached is a link for registration for a series of talks on anxiety in young people, exploring different types of anxiety common in this age group. Each 1 hour session will incorporate content on the causes, symptoms and evidence-based approaches which support recovery.
Parent Talks – Cycle Against Suicide
Dear Parents/Guardians and 6th Years,
The Higher Options conference will take place in the RDS next Wednesday, 25th September.
The 6th Years will attend their first two morning classes in advance of their departure.
Please read the attached documents very carefully in advance of the day. It is essential that this preparation is done to ensure 6th Years get the most out of the talks and stand visits. This work will also help them to make well-informed CAO applications later on. Many thanks to Ms. O'Malley who will give presentations to them over the next week to help them prepare for the conference.
Please return permission forms by Monday, 23rd September at the latest.

Dear Parent or Guardian
There will be sport and activities for all 1st Yrs. after school tomorrow from 1.30 - 3.
Students will be in their class groups and try a range of sports and activities each week.
Students need to bring their full PE Gear to school and hockey gear (if they want to try hockey) including suitable runners. We would ask all students to eat a substantial amount of food at 11 break and have some snacks to eat before sport. Please bring water bottles!
Wednesday sport will run for the whole of this term.
Good afternoon, Attached are the School Reopening Dates. A full calendar will be provided soon.
We are absolutely delighted to share the fantastic news about our 6th-year students and their outstanding Leaving Cert results! They have truly outdone themselves, showcasing incredible dedication, hard work, and resilience throughout their journey.
Our 6th-year students have faced many challenges, especially in recent years, yet they have risen above them all, achieving results that reflect their determination and commitment to excellence. Each one of them has made us immensely proud, not just with their academic success, but also with the way they have embodied the values of our school community.
As they step forward into the next exciting chapter of their lives, we want them to know that we believe wholeheartedly in their potential to succeed. We are confident that they will continue to shine brightly, making a positive impact on the world around them.
To our 6th-year students: Congratulations on this remarkable achievement! Your hard work has paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavours, and we look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things you will accomplish in the years to come.
Remember, no matter where life takes you, you will always be a valued part of our school community. Keep aiming high, stay true to yourselves, and continue to pursue your dreams with the same passion and determination that has brought you this far.
