Congratulations to Shamantha Sathyarajan on her recent achievements in Irish Dancing. Shamantha came 1st in her confined reel and 5th overall in the competition. Wishing her the best of luck in her forthcoming competitions.

Dear TY Students, Parents and Guardians

Congratulations to all our TY students as you have settled well into your new tutor classes, adjusted to new timetable and participated in extra-curricular activities and sports over the past two weeks. 

Attached is the TY Activities Calendar for the upcoming weeks of September - you will find that this will be updated as new activities are added.

Next week will be particularly busy as the whole year group will attend the National Ploughing Championship in Co Laois and the Worldskills Ireland 2023 in the RDS next Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Good luck to all, enjoy each event, take photographs, notes and record your experiences as these will be entered into your TY Portfolio and remember that above all - be aware of your surroundings, look after each other,  travel safe and be on time.

Please see the attached Hockey & Basketball Schedules starting Monday 11th Sept. 

Hockey schedules are now split to two sessions. One starting at 4.15 - 5.15 and the second from 5.15 - 6.15. We would ask that all students are dressed and ready to start bang on their start time to get the most from each session. If you are on the later group there will be a supervised area in the library for all students doing hockey to get some homework done. If your daughter is going home before the later session i will need an email with permission from you. 

Our local football club Granada FC is looking for new memebrs to come and join them. They are looking for girls born in 2007 and 2008 of all levels and abilities.

Our school canteen is now beng run by Yan from "Fresh and Tasty Catering". 

The canteen will be serving a breakfast available to all of our students from 8 a.m. with a selection of fresh smoothies, granola bowls, pastries and fruit pots. 

Attached is a sample menu of the next 4 weeks of food from the ordering menu. Food must be ordered and paid for 24 hrs in advance, students can then collect their lunch meal from the collection area, with no need to queue. 

There will still be the shop service serving our usual food, snacks and drinks. 

Our school canteen will be open at break and lunch times serving food from Thursday 31st of August. 

Yan, who ran the canteen last year, has taken on the canteen herself and the Lunchbox Company will no longer be our supplier. Yan will be taking orders one day in advance in the canteen. Attached is the menu for week 1 which will start on Thursday. Cash and card payments will be accepted.

Bus leaves @ 12 and return approx 3.30 

1st Yr Yellow / Purple / Red / Grey - Hockey Blitz in Loreto Bray 

Bus leaves at 11.30 and returns approx 3. 

Fancy dress theme is witches. No need to buy any costumes of fancy dress. Just for fun so what you have at home will do. Black face paint, witches hats, brooksticks, black leggings etc.
