Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please be reminded that we are holding a 3rd Year Learning Advice meeting on Tuesday 15th October. Classes will finish for all students at the slightly earlier time of 3.45pm to facilitate this meeting. Thank you.
Congratulations to all of our students who received their exceptional Junior Cycle results today. Their results are a testament to their commitment to learning and growth, and we hope they take great pride in what they have accomplished. Thank you for your ongoing support, which has been an essential part of your child's success. We look forward to seeing what they will achieve next as they continue to grow and flourish.
Warmest congratulations again to all our students and their families!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am happy to inform you that the 6th Year English cohort are going to see a live performance of King Lear, which is the Shakespearean text they have been studying as part of their Comparative Studies for Leaving Certificate English.
The performance is on at 9:30 am in Clasac Theatre, Clontarf. Students must be in school from 7:45 on Thursday 10th October as they will be accompanied by their English teachers to private coaches which will take them to Clontarf for the show. The show is approximately 2 hours long. Students will be brought back to the school about 1 pm in time for their lunch and then ready to commence afternoon classes.
Attendance is mandatory as King Lear is a required part of their Leaving Certificate English course. Full school uniform must be worn on the day. Phones must be left in their lockers at school. They may bring a small snack and a bottle of water with them.
The total cost of the trip including the show and the coaches there and back again is 26 euro per student. Payment can be made on the school app.
Kind regards,
Donnacha Kehoe

Dear Parents/Guardians,
All students can wear their PE uniform to school tomorrow, 4th October to allow them to participate in activities for the opening of the new sports pitch. School will finish a little earlier than usual, approximately 3.15-3.30pm tomorrow after the past v present pupil match.
School photos will be taken on Monday 7th October. All students are asked to be in full school uniform for the photos. Thank you.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are delighted to invite you to the grand opening of our brand-new sports pitch on Friday, 4th October from 1:45pm. This marks a very exciting moment for our school community, and we are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support and generous contributions towards our fundraising efforts to date, which helped make this project a reality. We will also be offering any individual/business the opportunity to buy advertising hoarding around the pitch, which is a great opportunity to enhance the visibility of your business and engage with customers. Please contact nmaher@loretofoxrock.ie for further details.
Throughout the morning, our students will take part in a variety of activities run by an inspiring group of female sports stars. It will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn, have fun, and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
To make the event even more special, we’ll have goodies for the students and tea and coffee available for parents and guardians. For those who wish to treat themselves, there will also be an ice cream van on site.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by our Principal, Ms Prendiville, will take place at 2pm, followed by a past pupils hockey match – a fantastic way to commemorate the new pitch!
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing in the excitement of this special day. Please note, that due to the activities it will not be possible to drive into the school grounds on the day.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is a friendly reminder that the Parents Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held tomorrow evening, Tuesday, 1st October at 7:00 pm in the school library.
We warmly welcome back all members from last year and invite new parents and guardians to join us. It's important that we have the voice of parents and guardians represented, as your input plays an important role in shaping the school community and enhancing the experience of our students.
Your involvement helps strengthen the partnership between parents, staff, and the school, and we encourage everyone to participate.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The 6th Year Retreat will take place in Glendalough next Tuesday, 1st October.
The 6th Years will meet in the cafeteria for 8.15am sharp for roll call. Please note that the retreat is a compulsory school day.
The students will travel by bus to Glendalough and will return to the school for approximately 3.30pm.
A reminder to students to bring a packed lunch, comfortable walking shoes and wet gear with them.
The retreat is a very important and special day for the 6th Years. Based on the experiences of previous groups, they will get a lot out of the day during their busy Leaving Cert year.
Many thanks to Ms. O'Shea for organising the retreat.
