We would like to remind you that all student lockers must be emptied out by Thursday 25th May. Any student with a lock needs to reset the lock to zero and hand this to her class tutor by Thursday 25th May. there will be a €15 replacement fee for any lock not returned.

All co curricular activites outside of this will stay as they are.
All activities are open to any student to join. In particular if you havent tried the sport this year and would like to get involved now is a great time.
Tennis registartion will take place tomorrow at break time for 2nd / 3rd Years and lunch time for 1st Yrs and 4th / 5 th and 6th Yrs.
If there is a clash for a student on the schedule please come and talk to me and we can work out a plan to suit.
Posters of the new timetable are up in all locker areas for students to view.
Congratulations to Eve Byrne and Grace Guinan (2nd Year) who won the Inter-Loreto Junior Debates Trophy on March 21st.The girls proposed the motion "This house would ban advertising for unhealthy foods for adults and children".
Congratulations also Amelia Scallan and Winnie Chan who also made it through to the final - and to Evelyn Roche and Alison Heeney (2nd Year) and Ciara Redden and Laura McMenamin (TY) who made it to the semi-finals of their competitions.

We wish to inform you that the school will close early on Friday 19th May at 1.15pm. This is to allow us to celebrate Graduation Mass with the Leaving Cert class of 2022/2023.The school bus will run for students at 1.30pm. Also please note that the school bus will run at 1.30pm as normal on Wednesday 17th May after the Foxrock Games.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 17th May sees the school community come together to take part in the Annual Foxrock Games. This is a whole school event and allows the school community come together for a fun morning of games and activities. Students are expected in school for roll call as usual at 8.50 where they will go to their Tutor class. Please be reminded that no cars are allowed on the school grounds for the day.
Congratulations to Evelyn Roche from 2nd year for winning 3rd place in Latin Competition of the Young Classicist Awards for rewriting and singing Abba's "Money, Money" into Latin with lyrics about the life of slavery in Ancient Rome. And congratulations to 1st year students Molly Andrews and Lexi Ryan for featuring as finalists in the Junior Competition of the Young Classicist Awards for a project on Gender Norms and Clothing in the Ancient World.
Congratulations to our three Junior Debating Teams who competed in the Inter-Loreto Debates online on Friday.
All three teams are through to the semi-finals which will take place in Loreto High School Beaufort.

We have had another sucessful few weeks of sport in school.
Congratulations to our 1st Yr A Badminton Team who won their Dublin Final this week, the girls now move on to the Leinster Competition. Our 1st Yr B Team narrowly lost on in their final.
The Junior A Hockey Team are into the semi finals in both the Leinster League and Cup and will be playing Beaufort in the cup semi final on Wednesday at 3 in Foxrock.
Our Senior B Hockey Team will also play Beaufort in their Leinster League Semi Final some time this week.
The 1st Yr A Team had a good win in the cup v High School and move into the next round.
Congratulations to Lauren Hickey (1st Yr) who has been selected to the Dublin U14 Football Panel. The team play Cork today, best of luck Lauren.
Congratulations also to Seodhna Ni Riain (3rd Yr) and Suzie Dalton (TY), both girls have been selected for the Dublin U16 Camogie Panel.
Finally good luck to Grace Jones, Isobel Field and Sarah Byrne (all ty) who are playing for Leinster U16 Hockey team in this weekends Interpro Final. The match v Ulster is being played in UCD on Sunday at 3.30.
The very best of luck to Mya Madigan (5th Year) and Ciara Redden (TY) who are competing today in the UCD L&H Mace Debating Competition.
Junior Cycle Profile Awards
The TYs began an exciting week on Monday with the presentation of their JC Profile Awards. These awards acknowledged their achievements in their state exams, their CBAs and other areas of learning with an emphasis on their contribution to extra-curricular life in the school. Many thanks to Ms.Kenny who arranged a celebratory party following the official presentation.

Well done to all of our TYs and the TY students of CBC Monkstown who are enjoying a great run with their musical Grease. Best of luck for the final two shows.
There will be a celebration immediately following the show on Friday at CBC.
Please note that parents/guardians are requested to collect students from CBC on Friday at 11.10pm.
