Please make sure while completing your CAO form online, to indicate that you wish to make a DARE application.
The section relevant for indicating your intention to make a DARE application comes after you have entered your personal details, paid your fee, filled in your school details and college course choices. Please save your CAO number for future reference.
There are a number of headings below the Course Choices, they are: Correspondence, Qualifications and Assessment Section, Exemptions from Minimum Entry Requirements, Mature Section, Disability and HEAR. You are looking for Disability. Press the button named: 'Modify Disability (& DARE Application) Status'.
You will be brought to the next page where you need to pick the 'Yes' option when it asks whether you wish to disclose your disability. (This includes dyslexia, significant ongoing illness, literacy difficulties etc).
Then press the 'Update Selecton' button. This will mean that the CAO will invite you to provide further information via the SIF (Supplementary Information Form). Mr Fallon and I will help you fill in this part when we are back in school. You are finished with the application for the moment at this point.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
This letter is to inform you that the SPHE department are covering the Relationships and Sexuality Education programme with all 3rd year students who are taking part in SPHE at the moment. This is as outlined in the Department of Education SPHE curriculum. The full content of this programme runs for approximately 6 weeks in total, (some of these lessons on communication, relationships & LGBT have already been covered in their SPHE classes this year). All remaining students will cover the RSE programme in February/March and a note will be sent to you before this takes place.
A copy of our programme is included in the RSE policy which is available to view on the school website. Should you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact your daughter’s SPHE teacher.
If you DO NOT want your daughter to participate in this programme please contact your daughter’s SPHE teacher.
Yours Sincerely
SPHE Department
