Best of luck to TY student Jack Kennedy who this week is completing a week of work experience in PepsiCo Little Island and Carrigaline plants.
PepsiCo Inc, headquartered in New York is a top 2 global food and beverage company selling products in more than 200 countries and territories. Products include Pepsi, 7-Up, Tropicana, Mountain Dew, Lipton, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, Aquafina, Walkers Crisps, Doritos snacks and Quaker Oats. It offers the world’s largest portfolio of billion dollar food and beverage brands. The portfolio of billion dollar brands is now at 22, which is 70% of the corporation’s revenues.
PepsiCo Worldwide Flavours (PWF) commenced operations in Little Island in 1974 and now employs over 700 people in IDA-supported activities in Cork. It is the global headquarters for PepsiCo’s strategic supply chain and services functions and is the only global headquarters function located outside the US.

At 11.15am today our TYs went to St Monica's Chapel for the end of year Mass. Sincere thanks to Fr Gerry for the wonderful liturgy that was offered on behalf of the TY class of 2022. We celebrated the success of TY and acknowledged how these students have faced many challenges and have learned and worked together to overcome them. We presented our hopes, plans for the future, and joys to the Lord. We thank God for all the blessings we have received and ask Him to grant us the courage to continue our mission of being witnesses to our faith. Principal Mr O Sullivan and TY Coordinator Ms McGann addressed the TYs and thanked them for the memories. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.

Transition Year
This morning our TY students enjoyed a Céilí dance. They waltzed round the floor to a classic from The Furey's - Red Rose Café and partnered up for Shoe the Donkey. Then it was the Siege of Ennis with four facing four. This progressive dance saw dancers changing and forming a different line of dancers after each repetition of the sequence. Many thanks to Ms McGrath for all her guidance and for working with smaller groups of TY during the year in her Set Dancing Module.

Munster Junior Hockey League Champions, and the Cup and League double is complete. A huge effort throughout all 4 quarters by two very well matched teams. The goal came from our captain Ciara Whelan Barrett after a short corner pass from Sarah Gaffney. Well done to all the panel that played throughout the year. So proud of these girls ️

Ty students and 3rd year students skipping TY,
Your 5th year subject choices are still being run so we can find the best solution for all students. We anticipate to have your 5th year subject choice offer in early -mid June. A notification will be placed on the school APP when they are ready. Subject swaps cannot take place at this stage so please wait until you receive your offer to request a subject change.

Last class today TY students enjoyed the bat and ball game with Ms Reynolds and Ms Elsted. Students were exhausted after running around the four bases on the field. They looked the part with their EU Parliament baseball caps !
