Congratulations to TY student Caoimhe Norris, she recently received her certificate for a Correspondence Course run by CTYI. CTYI offer courses such as Forensic Science and Law but Caoimhe chose Psychology. All the courses are taught by tutors in DCU and Georgia Tuohy was teaching the course that Caoimhe completed. The course started in January and finished at the end of May. There were students from all around the country doing this course - from Cork, Galway and Donegal. Caoimhe had 6 Zoom meetings in total where she was taught the basics of psychology. They also explored interesting theories about human behaviour. For this course, students were expected to complete 6 essays ranging from 400 words to 950 words in length. These essays had different topics and students not only learned more about psychology but they also learned so much about academic writing and referencing. The essays were expected to be written to a third level/university standard and had to include Harvard referencing. Congratulations Caoimhe.

Exᴀᴍ Pʀᴀʏᴇʀ ᴛᴏ Sᴛ. Rɪᴛᴀ St. Rita, Saint of the Impossible, bring serenity to my mind and heart while I take my exams. Give me a quiet confidence in my gifts and talents. Remind me of my dignity and preciousness in a world where we compete in exams, for jobs, for a place in life. Anoint my memories with the power of recall. Keep me calm on the day of my exams. May my results be for enrichment of my life and the education of my heart. We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord Amen. (Liam Ryan OSA) Good luck to all the students who have started their exams today. Wishing you every blessing & success in them.
