Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Cecilia Saviotti, I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland. I have been living and working in Naas for the last 20 years. I am a mother of two beautiful teenagers and married to an Irish artist. I would like to invite you to an Open Day on Friday 29 th March to support Space2be in Naas, Co. Kildare. Space2Be is a vital community service where children and young people, who present with considerable difficulties in their social interactions and so-called emotional regulation, have a place to go to reduce their isolation. In Space2Be they can be themselves, have fun and be supported with their particular needs, on a one-to-one basis. They may or may not have received a diagnosis of autism; developmental and/or mental health disorder. Space2be has existed since 2018 under the management of In Sync, Youth and family services and for the last 2 years, it has become an independent nonprofit organisation. During this time we have witnessed the following outcomes: ● Children & families came out of extreme isolation, gaining significant social inclusion and community participation ● Children's emotional- behavioural regulation improved allowing access to medical treatment and educational settings ● Children were able to participate in mainstream activities which they were previously unable for or excluded from ● Children showed a remission or major reduction in social and separation anxiety; depression and other mental health issues ● Improvement in Parental well being ● Overall developmental milestones achievements space2be CLG, Reg.
