Dear Parents/Guardians,
Next week, from May 6th to May 10th, is Active School Week. This week will be filled with different activities and challenges that will promote physical activity and healthy living.
Throughout the week, students will be encouraged to participate in various challenges and activities. In addition, students are allowed to wear their school PE uniform all week to promote participation.
We hope that this week will be a fun and engaging way for students to get active and learn about the importance of physical activity.
We will be finishing off the week with our annual Sports Day on Friday.
The activities for each day are attached below.
We look forward to seeing everyone participate and have a great time!
The student summer reports have now been published and can be accessed using the VSWare App or website (scoilmhuireclane.app.vsware.ie).

Dear Parents &Guardians,
The CAO Change of Mind facility opens on Tuesday next May 7th. on www.cao.ie and remains open until July 1st - so even after the exams there is a week when a student can amend their choices.
This means your child can add, remove or change the order of courses on their CAO lists. Now that they have their mock results and are close to the exams, they will have a better idea of their possible points and may have also changed their minds about some courses they added to their lists in January. Indeed some students may not yet have any courses added to their lists. (Restricted courses cannot be added to lists at this time)
This is the time to sit with your son/daughter and discuss again what they hope to study in college and to help them to prioritise their course choices in order of preference, ie - the course they really want goes in place number 1, the course they want if they did not get their first choice in place number 2 and so on down to number 10. Do not try to guess points - work on preference of courses. Do this for both lists - the Level 8 Honours degree list and the Level 6/7 list.
The Guidance Counsellors are available for any student who is confused or needs help with finalising their lists - just call in and we will help.
Please see the attached pdf from the CAO explaining the process of offers etc.
Thank you, Guidance Team.
