Please read - With students sitting in close proximity to each other and with increased activities for all, we have the ideal conditions for spread of nits and head lice in the school. We are aware of instances in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year so advise that all students are checked and treated where necessary. Students with long hair should have it tied back. I have attached link below that may be of assistance.: www2.hse.ie/conditions/head-lice-nits/

RE: SCHOOL UNIFORM
Dear Parent/Guardian,
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the majority of our students who always wear perfect uniform. They are a credit to themselves and to you in the way they present themselves for school daily. Uniform and behaviour have been excellent since we returned, in order to continue with this, I would ask for your support in reminding your daughter of her responsibility as follows:
- Students must wear full school uniform on each school day when they do not have P.E. including low heeled black/brown/navy shoes. No white and black runners, trainers, ugg boots or multi-coloured footwear may be worn with the uniform (e.g. white trainers, converse runners)
- Students are not permitted to wear the school hooded top under their school jumper. If a students is cold, they are encouraged to wear black or navy tights and a thermal vest under their shirt.
- Students must wear the school coat. Coats should be clearly marked with the student’s name - we have some school coats in lost property. If your daughter is not wearing the school coat, her coat will be confiscated.
- Each student is required to wear the school P.E. uniform on her P.E. day – runners, grey hooded top (with school crest only), plain, loose-fitting navy tracksuit bottoms or the school crested tracksuit bottoms and leggings and a plain white tee shirt. First Year students must wear school crested bottoms.
- Sports kit may be worn for sports only. Students must change in school before their match.
- Hairstyle and colour must be appropriate for school and long hair should be kept tied back.
- Discreet makeup may only be worn. Students should not have fake eyelashes or extended fake nails e.g. gel nails.
- Jewellery if minimal and appropriate may be worn. Students may not wear nose studs/rings or other facial/tongue piercings.
Obviously, there are many valid reasons why students present themselves for school without the correct uniform on occasion and an app note from you on the day will excuse this
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards
Mary Molloy
