Today we say goodbye to Mr. Justin Dermody who departs Mount Carmel for a school in his home County of Kilkenny! As our Home School Community Liaison teacher he has worked with many families in our school community. We wish Justin the very best and it is a big loss for our school. However, home is where the heart is!

We endeavor to include our students in the day to day life of our school. Practical pupil participation is at the core of our value system where students can develop and refine their leadership potential. One such way in which students can be involved in leadership in the school is through being a Senior Prefect.

We have been asked to share this with parents/students of those receiving their results tomorrow: Please see the attached letter from the NPCPP advising you of the Leaving Cert Helpline for students and parents. This is an invaluable number for those who have sat their Leaving Certificate in 2022. Our Guidance Counsellors have been selected Nationwide and will aim to provide the best possible advice and up to date information for students and parents.

Best of luck to all our Leaving Cert graduates from 2022. Your results are available online at 10am Friday September 2nd on the Candidate Self Service Portal. You are very welcome to come up to the school after 10am and we will help you access your results if you would prefer. Please see your MS Teams where Mr O'Brien has shared very important information.

Exams & Results

Congratulations to all our exam students, 3rd & 6th years, who have now finished all their State Exams since yesterday. Take a well deserved break over the Summer! Huge thanks to Ms Weir our amazing Exam Aide. The State Examinations Commission (SEC) will issue the results of the Leaving Certificate exams on the 2nd September 2022. There is no formal announcement for Junior Cycle results yet. The school office will be closed from mid-July until the beginning of August. So any queries should come in before/after then. We would like to wish all the staff & students a wonderful, restful Summer! All we need is the weather! Kind regards, Deirdre Fitzgerald
