Today's challenge is to try and encourage our students to be positive online! To highlight this, we are going to create an 'Online Wellbeing Wall'. Students will write one positive message about themselves or someone else on the 'Selfie Steem' sheet to then be displayed in school!

Today's challenge is to encourage our students to reduce their screen time. Students will check their screen time in tutor class, and do this again next week to see if their screen time has reduced. There will be a prize for whoever reduces their time the most!

Today is the first day of Mount Carmel's Digital Awareness Week 2022! This week is all about the benefits of technology in our lives, but also using technology safely. Throughout the week there will be a few challenges for students to take part in, as well as some competitions with excellent prizes!

The future is here. We are having a sample virtual reality day for some classes next week and want parents to come and see for themselves. We hope to explore different ways of learning in the 21st century and take virtual trips to the likes of The Pyramids in Egypt, The Rainforests in Brazil, The Eiffel Tower in France and The Burren in Co. Clare. We are using most of the day for student classes, but we have kept one class free for parents. Details below. Happy Birthday to Mary Maher who turned 100 years old this weekend. Mary attended Mount Carmel primary & secondary school in the 1920's & 1930's. She has wonderful memories of her days in King's Inns! Mary resides in St Mary's in the Phoenix Park and we wish her the happiest of birthdays.
