A huge well done to our athletes who competed in Santry yesterday. First up was Róisín Hanley Byrne who finished in a fantastic 5th place in the minor girls 800m. Sadhbh Coogan was unlucky to finish just outside the medals when a brilliant performance left her 4th. Our u16 relay team of Charlie Murphy, Alannah Giles, Aoibh McNicholas and Leah Prendergast fought hard to finish 6th. A huge congratulations to Alannah Giles in P2 who claimed the bronze medal after finishing a terrific third place in the Junior girls High Jump. Alannah will now represent OLS at the All Ireland Schools final in June. Best of luck to the rest of the team competing on Saturday.

This week’s book recommendation is an Irish based ghost story by Sarah Carroll. ‘The Girl in Between’ is about a girl and her Mum who take shelter in an old abandoned mill from their life on the streets, and watch the busy world go by. Then developers show up, and it's clear that their lives are about to change forever. Desperate to save their refuge from the authorities and her mother from her own personal demons, the girl seeks out the ghosts of the mill.
