On Tuesday 6th October there will be a chance to sign up for lunchtime activities and find out what is happening in extra-curricular life in OLS. All students are welcome to come over to the Sports Hall at 12.50 to see what's on offer. 1st year students are especially welcome!

1st Year
Well done to all 1st Years (and parents!) for navigating the first month of secondary school! Today the girls attended the Bin It workshop focussing on social responsibility. It is also Study Skills Week in OLS. The theme for 1st Years is organisation and to get the girls thinking about it, the 1st Year team presented the students with their own pack (see photos) on Friday. We look forward to meeting parents of 1st Years tomorrow evening, Tuesday, at 7pm in the GPA for some introductions, information and a quick cuppa.

Welcome back from Carlingford to all our TYs! Well done to the girls going to volunteer at Terenure International Food Festival in Bushy Park tomorrow. Next week in TY we will be focusing on Goal Setting and getting Gaisce ready! A reminder to all parents to ensure that the TY Rec. Studies permission form has been submitted for Monday afternoons (it's submitted once for the full year).

Congratulations to the Junior Debaters who competed in their first debate yesterday evening in UCD. All three teams were fantastic and they will be debating again in the next round on 18th October. Well done girls!

Well done to the 2nd Year Junior debating teams who attended a UCD debating workshop last week in preparation for their upcoming debate on Thursday 27th September. The girls really enjoyed the workshop and are looking forward to practising their skills at their debate on Thursday! We wish them the best of luck!
