A few notices for the week ahead.
Monday 3rd: Development days will be beginning at 08:30 and finishing at 15:10. Students must wear their PE uniform for the day as there will be a lot of activity. Sign language classes will be running as normal in room 8 and 9.
Friday: 7th: M house mass will be taking place next Friday with L house finishing early.

The February examination timetable for Leaving Certificate Applied is now available. Students should print off a copy of the attached PDF to ensure that they are well organised for the examination period and to assist their personal study plan.

Students, parents & guardians of last year's 3rd year Art classes, we, the Art teachers have the pleasure of inviting you, and your family to the official evening of the annual Junior Certificate Art exhibition on Thursday the 22nd November 2018. The exhibition will be open between 6.00 and 7.00 pm. This event will be a celebration of all the creativity, talent and hard work that went into creating all the exciting, interesting and brilliantly executed projects that the girls produced for their art project.
Your daughter’s project and those of all students who submitted a Junior Certificate Art project will be on display in the area surrounding the Art rooms. The exhibition has been on display for the last couple of weeks in the school and will stay on the walls for a further week after this opening night. Once the exhibition is over, your daughter may take her project home.

Well done to all TYs for engaging actively with Zeminar yesterday.
Some dates to remember for the coming week.
Monday 19th: New subject blocks will be starting. Make sure you're aware of your new subjects and where you are going.
Tuesday 20th: SOAR workshop. School will start and finish at usual times. You will be going to your first two classes of the day. Wear your PE gear.
Friday 23rd: Nuns feast day.

Congratulations to the students who represented Our Lady's School at the Rathdown School MUN conference this weekend. All the girls did a great job and were wonderful ambassadors for their countries and their school. A special congratulations to Marie Bishop and Aimée Murphy who received Distinguished Delegates awards. Ana Cooke held a chair position and Emily Jones, Alisha Shanagher and Aimée Murphy all had resolutions passed.
Rachel Kilmartin, Aimee Cosgrove, Alex Lacey and Robyn McCarthy represented India. Aimée Murphy, Marie Bishop, Jena Frain, Emma Casier, Ella Manning and Aisling Wedick represented Japan. Alisha Shanagher, Nicole Dempsey, Emily Jones and Ciara O’Gorman represented Malaysia.

Congratulations to Máire Hyndman, Clara Flinter, Aoife Ryan, Sophie Gorman, Rebecca Harper, Casey Anne Wynne Robinson, Aimée Moran, Roisín Evoy, Halle Donnelly Mahon and Marie Bishop who have been appointed Library Assistants. Their duties will include issuing, returning and shelving books, helping library users find books and information, promoting the library and recommending books to their fellow students, creating displays, writing reviews, and ensuring the library is tidy, well organised and inviting.

Congratulations to our Tech 4 You students who had a very successful opening night on Wednesday. A few reminders for the week ahead:
Rec block is changing on Monday the 12th so make sure you know where you are going.
Eirquest is taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday so make sure you are in school to attend your assigned slot.
We are off to Zeminar on Thursday the 19th, permission slips are on the app and must be submitted. School uniform must be worn and you are to arrange your own way to and from the RDS.
As the L House are having their mass on Friday the 16th, C House will be going home early.
