Students and Staff celebrated International Language Day at OLS on Wednesday. The school was brightened up with colourful artwork displaying students favourite words in German, French and Spanish. Students gave announcements in the foreign languages at break times. Foreign language movies were shown at lunchtime and the girls also got to try their hand at the French sport of Boules.

Irish Women's Rugby

Our girls who have started rugby this year with Terenure RFC went to Donnybrook Stadium Friday night to support the Irish women's rugby team. While the result wasn't what we were hoping for, the girls had a great time supporting the Irish team. It's fantastic for the students to see women playing sport at the top level.

Congratulations to Jennifer Hanrahan (C4) who has been selected by Athletics Ireland to the National Jumps Project 2019. She has also been selected to attend the Junior High Performance Relay Squad training camp in Portugal at Easter.
Certified Irish Angus Beef Competition - All Ireland Semi Finals

Congratulations to the two TY teams who have now been selected to go through to the All Ireland Semi Finals of the Certified Irish Angus Beef Competition in Croke Park in March. The two teams will put together an exhibition of their work and ongoing projects. If selected as winners in this round they will receive 5 calves to raise over the next two years! We wish them all the best!

The TY Musical is opening on Tuesday night and running for 4 nights only! Friday is already sold out so make sure you get your ticket for another night ASAP to avoid disappointment! Students €10, Adults €15. Tickets available in the GPA at lunchtime/from Reception. Tuesday is 1st Year Night and Wednesday is 2nd Year Night (homework off the next day for those who present their ticket in class). The Parents' Council is running a tuck shop before the show and at the interval. Raffle tickets and programmes will also be on sale. See you there!
