Information regarding Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle on-line marking of scripts

This year, some Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle subjects will be marked online. Please note that this means, for some subjects, work is being marked ON a computer not BY a computer. There is very little change for candidates as a result of their examinations being marked online, however, the SEC (State Examinations Commission) has answered some Frequently Asked Questions that we recommend both students and parents to read: www.examinations.ie/?l=en&mc=ex&sc=omd This page identifies which subjects will be marked on-line and gives some basic pointers regarding use of pencil, extra paper, etc.

Well done to all the girls for a fantastic display on TY Night. It was an impressive showcase of your hard work for the whole year. A few notices for the week ahead: Monday 27th: Exams will be taking place as outlined on TY timetable, available on the app. Tuesday 28th: 'Our Day Out', all TY students will be partaking in a self designed day trip. Please ensure the permission slip is submitted on the app or your daughter will have to return to school. Please find the details outlined in the PDF below as well as on the permission slip. Wednesday 29th: Careers Trip to NCAD and TCD as outline on app by guidance department. Please ensure permission slip is submitted on the app. Thursday 30th: Will be back in school for end of year awards. Friday 31st: End of year assembly.

Important Notices for 3rd Year Students

In preparation for the upcoming examinations and to facilitated focused revision, a blocked timetable will be in operation for 3rd Year students next week from Monday 20th -Friday 24th. Students should take time to familiarise themselves with this timetable to ensure they bring the correct equipment to school each day and to mazimise their preparedness. Please note that, owing to the visit of Department of Education Inspectors this Tuesday 25th, school will finish for 3rd Year students at 14:20 pm A reminder also that the canteen service will not be in operation this week. Students should ensure they bring a packed lunch each day.

Canteen Services During Examinations

Please be advised that there will be no canteen service from Monday 20th to Friday 24th. Students should bring a packed lunch each day. Normal service will resume for the week beginning Monday 27th.

Well done to all the TYs who completed TY End of Year interviews, Irish orals, handed in their portfolios and various projects. We've another busy week to look forward to again next week. Monday 20th: Rec Studies HIke. Students must arrive to school and head straight to the lecture theatre at 09:00. School tracksuit pants and school hoodie or TY hoodie must be worn. Bring a packed lunch and a small amount of money for an ice cream. Bus is due back into the school at around 3pm. Bring your school jacket in case of rain. Tuesday 21st: School as normal from 08:30 until lunch. After lunch meet in lecture theatre for TY Night practice. Wednesday 22nd: Meet in lecture theatre at 08:30 to get timetable for the day. Thursday 23rd: Showcase to 3rd years and clean up. Microsoft prodigy exams and Faith Friends party. Friday 24th: Exams begin.
