Well done to one and all on the superb collective effort over the last few months to mobilise the OLS community remotely. School thrives on relationships and interaction so moving learning on-line was a challenge to the ways we are used to teaching and learning. We thank you all, students, teachers, parents, for your willingness to work together to adapt to the situation we found ourselves in last March. There is great strength in that sense of community.
Final Assembly is at 10am this morning. We'll hear from the 6th Year leadership team and meet the incoming leaders. The staff will also take this opportunity to send you their summer wishes! The link will be sent just before 10 to students' email accounts.

TY Enterprise class

As part of their end of year project, the TY Enterprise class were challenged with recreating a new purpose for an everyday household item. The winning class project received a €25 just eat voucher which was purchased using the class funds. Well done to Alice Carroll in B4 who won the voucher!
Alice’s idea: For my project I came up with the idea of using an old Comfort liquid bottle to produce a new way of watering your plants. Everyone has old bottles of fabric softener and washing liquid lying around their house waiting to be recycled. With this invention you are able to recycle, reuse and rewater!! You can help conserve water by using this product to allow a gradual stream of water into your plants. This product can be used when you're outside of the house. You don’t need to use a hose anymore which uses precious volumes of water and can be a cumbersome task. This makes watering your plants not only easier and quicker but environmentally friendly as you're doing your bit to conserve water!
