Archived : 26 Oct 2024, 12:00 AM

With the class of 2024 having received their Leaving Cert results last Friday, there are some important key dates in relation to viewing scripts, appealing results and CAO offers. From tomorrow, Tuesday 27th August, candidates will have the opportunity to view the marks in each of their subjects on the Candidate Self Service Portal, and over the course of this week can view their actual exams scripts and lodge appeals should they wish.

Please note: The timelines for candidates to apply to view scripts and to lodge appeals are very short and these deadlines will be strictly applied. The SEC will not accept late applications for viewing scripts or lodging appeals. The first document attached outlines the relevant dates and deadlines.

CAO Offers and Acceptances Schedule for 2024 applicants.
CAO round 1 offers will also be released this week (Wednesday 28th August). It is important that candidates take note of the acceptance date and time. Should a candidate not accept an offer by the time specified on the acceptance date, the offer will lapse. After Round 1, candidates may or may not receive offers in subsequent rounds.

The second document attached outlines the CAO Offers Schedule over the coming weeks.

I will be available to offer guidance and support to our past students over the coming weeks as CAO offers are released should any students need to discuss future education and career options. I would also like to wish all students from the class of 2024 the very best of luck in their future endeavours.

This morning in Cross and Passion College we celebrated our first Erasmus Event for Staff. We heard about the enriching experiences from staff members who travelled during the Summer to Italy, Czech Republic, Denmark and Finland where they completed courses and embraced the spirit of International collaboration.

We facilitated peer to peer sharing of experiences and transfer of best practices to all staff, ensuring an impact across our whole school community. In addition to valuable teaching methodologies we were delighted to share treats from the visited countries.

The first term of study for 24/25 will hopefully begin on Monday the 2nd of September. Afterschool study is available to all third, fifth, and sixth year students. It's on Monday through to Thursday from 4:15pm to 6:15pm. The cost of the first term, which runs until the Christmas break, is €245 euro per student(59 sessions in total). Unfortunately, we are unable to offer reduced rates for siblings, and payment would have to be made in full before a student can begin study. if you have any questions, feel free to drop me an email terrireade@cpckilcullen.com Keep an eye for a notification from the school shop for payment over the next couple of days. Kind regards, Terri Reade

Upcoming Clothes Collection

The CPC Parents Association are running their first clothing collection of this new school year on Saturday September 21st.

It's the perfect time to do a wardrobe clearout and get ready for the change of season.

Bags of unwanted clothing, shoes or soft toys can be dropped to the bike shelters at the top of the avenue between 10am - 3pm on the day.

These collections are a great fundraising activity for the parents association while also allowing us to support the wonderful Laura Lynn foundation.
