Our annual School Mass tool place in Salthill Church on the 6th of October to mark the beginning of the school year. This is a time when the whole school community comes together to pray, reflect and give thanks. Fr. Gerry Jennings along with Fr. Denis Murphy OP celebrated the mass and made everyone feel very welcome. As this year marks the 800th anniversary of the Dominican Order, the Prioress of the Dominican Convent, Sr. Catherine OP, gave the homily. Our school is very conscious of its place within the Dominican family and continues to maintain a very close connection with the Dominican sisters and we continue to value their influence and support. Throughout the Mass our school choir gave a very uplifting performance. The readings at the Mass were read by our Head-Girl Eve Sheridan and Deputy Head-Girl Amy O Reilly.
