Dear Parents & Guardians, I would like to share the very positive feedback that I have had from many 1st year teachers in recent weeks. Our teachers have said that the girls are polite, cooperative and respectful and that they are settling in extremely well. Each of our 1st year classes have behaved in a way that we are very proud of and they are working hard at their studies. I hope that your daughter is now also taking part in some extra curricular activities in school and enjoying being a part of the Taylors community. Well done to our girls and keep it up!

The Big Dig! - The School of Irish Archaeology

The School of Irish Archaeology visited Dominican College this week with their replica ‘Viking House’ and excavation site, which allowed our students to explore the Viking world through a simulated archaeology dig. The workshop gave our girls the chance to experience what it is like to be an archaeologist by learning how to excavate the remains of a Viking house. As they dug through the site, participants unearthed Viking treasures and artefacts dating back 1,000 years. They learned about the lives of our Viking ancestors as history was brought to life by qualified archaeologists. This unique educational workshops offered a unique experience that will leave our future generations fascinated by our ancient ancestors and eager to learn more. Here is a clip of the Big Dig equipment and team. www.youtube.com/watch?v=szpEufCt2eA And their website sia.ie/ Well done to all involved and thank you to Ms. Ni Bhraonain for organising the event.
