St. Macartan's College Past Pupil and former MacRory Cup player Ryan Daly called back to his Alma Mater this week to present a set of training tops to the school's senior team members. Ryan Daly founded Daly Renewable Energies Systems in 2010 and is a key player in the renewable energy systems market throughout the island of Ireland and Scotland. Ryan is pictured with the Sem's MacRory Cup team manager Mark Counihan, mentors Paddy Hughes, Conor McElvaney, team members Conor McCrystal, Seán Treanor, Gavin McPhillips and school principal Raymond McHugh

“Catholic Schools Week in the Sem. “ 28th January - 3rd February 2019 This week we recognise and celebrate the work being done in our diocesan school under the following themes: 1. Living Tradition 2. Welcoming Diversity 3. Intergenerational 4. In service of our community 5. Supporting faith We have chosen "In Service of Others in Our Community" as the focus for this years Catholic Schools Week. An appeal box has been placed in classrooms and we invite all members of the school community to donate a ‘day to day necessity’ for someone who is homeless or disadvantaged. All products donated by the school community will be distributed to an organisation who work with homeless or disadvantaged. First and fourth year Religious Education classes coordinated our annual Christmas Spirit day before the holidays. They raised €850 for Crumlin children’s hospital. Well done to the boys for their hard work and to everyone who donated to this worthy cause!
