Dear Parent or Guardian Next week sees the beginning of the November Assessments for 1st, 5th & 6th Year students. Classes will continue as normal for all other year groups. Students have been given their timetables. and are required to be in school for their exams. Your daughter may go home at lunch time if she does not have an afternoon exam. However for those students who need to stay in school to wait for a bus or a lift, supervised study is available. Supervised study is also available early in the day for students who have a late start. We would ask that students bring their own equipment as they will not be permitted to borrow. Students may not bring smart watches or phones to the exams. It is important that students follow their teachers instructions throughout the exams. We wish all our students well in their exams next week. Reminder re Covid: If your daughter is a close contact or if she has symptoms of Covid, we ask that she stay at home. If this occurs please contact us and we will endeavour to accommodate your circumstances as best we can. Safety is paramount in the the school environment. The official school portraits of 1st and 6th Yrs are now available to purchase. Parents can go to Schoolpix.ie and enter the password LCF1887 to enter. If they Click on the Loreto College Foxrock folder and use the same password LCF1887 they can access and purchase the portraits. or alternatively the direct link to the 2021-2022 Portraits folder is .... www.schoolpix.ie/gallery-collection/Loreto-College-Foxrock-2021-2022/C0000yjMnIG.xLMg Access is with the same password LCF1887 An 8x6 inch print in a 10x8inch mount is 11 euros and the Digital High Res Jpeg File (which can be printed or emailed by a purchaser) is also 11 Euros Orders will only be delivered to the school reception with the students name on it for collection and not to home addresses, this prevents anyone from outside the school ordering photos.

Call out for TY Student Volunteers - LCF Opening Evening 18th November 2021

Dear TY Students TY Student Volunteers are needed to help with the LCF Open Evening 2021 on Thursday 18th November 2021. We are looking foryour help and would very much like if ALL TY students could volunteer their time on Thursday 18th November to help with our visitors.  Could YOU be a Guide and show our visiting families around the school on Thursday evening from 16.30-18.30?  If you do not wish to be a Guide could help out in the subject rooms and chat to the visiting families was they arrive up to the specialist rooms?  If you can give your time you will have a thorough briefing before the Open Evening so that you are confident in your job for that evening whether it be as a Family Guide or a Subject Guide.  Please sign up - you can find the form in your Tutor TEAM under Files>General>LCF Open Evening>Opening Evening 2021 4L/4O/4R/4E Sign up sheet.  Please tick which role you would like to take up on the evening. Loreto Hockey Blitz for all C & D players Basketball from 1.30 - 2.30 Athletics from 1.30-2.30 As all the pitches are in use for hockey 1st YRs can decide between basketball or athletics for tomorrows sport. Sport will be finished by 2.30 for non hockey players.
LCF & CBC Monkstown TY Musical - We Will Rock You Auditions 20th November 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians and TY Students As you may know the TY Musical will take place from the 5th - 8th April 2022. Howwever it is that time of year again – Audition Time for everyone. Auditions for the musical will take place on Saturday 20th November 2021. EVERY TY Student is obliged to audition for the musical. Students will need to check out the CBC website (www.cbcmonkstown.ie/ty-musical.html) where you will find information about the musical itself. You will also need to check out www.cbcmonkstown.ie/audition-material-dates--times.html where you will find the audition song numbers and dialogue to practice for your audition. Auditions will take place in the CBC Monkstown's Concert Hall. Each audition session will take 50 minutes per class. 4L will start at 09.30 (be there at 09.25); 4O at 10.20; 4R at 11.10 and 4E at 12.00. Note to students – if you cannot make the time set for your audition, please let me know. This can be done by one nominated student from each Tutor class can provide me with a list of students from that class who cannot make the time and date set. This list is due on Monday 15th November. Remember - learn your songs and dialogue - and everyone auditions! Break a let. Ms Early
