Dear TY Students, Parents/Guardians The TY programme in LCF endeavours to offer a broad range of experiences to our TY students both in-house and after school. A great opportunity has been made available to our TY students on Monday 29th November and as the students are not in school that day, I thought that this would be a great opportunity for TY students to explore what is available for TY students in UCD. No better Department to start off with than the UCD School of Physics. UCD School of Physics will be hosting an exciting half-day programme on Monday the 29th of November 2021 from 10 am - 12:30 pm. It will include interactive seminars, thought-provoking lectures, and experiments allowing students to experience Physics in the real world. Students need to register to participate in this seminar. This programme is a must for any Transition Year student who is passionate about pursuing a career in science and has an interest in Physics. Participants will hear about the work of researchers and academics who are leaders in their field whilst also gaining an insight into what it's like to study Physics at a university level. Places are limited and this event is being hosted on a first-come-first-serve basis and is only for TY students.
