Hi all, We are delighted to announce auditions for this years 6th year talent show are now open!!! This year it will be pre-recorded, so all acts and talents are welcome. This can include singing, dancing, story telling, magic tricks, comedy acts and much more! Each year is required to have at least 3 auditions submitted. Dear TY Students For those of you who could not make the musical auditions on Saturday 20th November, your audition will take place tomorrow FRIDAY 26th NOVEMBER FROM in LCF at 10am. Auditions will finish before 11am. Your Maths exam will continue as scheduled. Please ensure that you are in school at 10am - you can meet in the Canteen, where you will be called into the Concert Hall for your audition. Remember all TY students are expected to audition - so if you missed out last week - tomorrow morning is your audition time. You will find the music and dialoge on the CBC website www.cbcmonkstown.ie/ty-musical.html. A provisional list call backs have been announced - pleae see www.cbcmonkstown.ie/ty-musical.html. Congratulations. The call back auditions will take place on Monday 29th August 2021 from 16.00 - 17.30. Please read the information given on the website as to what you need to do for these call back auditions. Well done to all of you who have been called back so far. Well done to our 1st yr cross country team who competed today in the Blackrock College Invitational. A great team effort from all 16 runners with Foxrock finishing in the top 5 schools.
Reminder of the RCSI Transition Year MiniMed programme 28th February - 4th March 2022

The RCSI Transition Year MiniMed programme takes place annually in RCSI Dublin and RCSI Waterford and offers transition year students the opportunity to experience what it is like to train and work as a healthcare professional. In February 2021, RCSI hosted an exciting virtual programme. The 2022 programme will again be virtual and will take place from Monday, 28 February to Friday, 4 March. The programme is open to all Transition Year students to take part. For further information go to www.rcsi.com/dublin/undergraduate/meet-rcsi/transition-year-minimed-programme. All sections of the programme are carried out by leading professionals in their respective areas with a wide variety of topics – including general practice, heart surgery, pathology, paediatrics, forensic medicine, transplants, obstetrics and gynaecology, pharmacy and physiotherapy being covered during the programme. The 1st YR Cross Country Team are running today in Blackrock College at their invitational event. We would like to wish our 16 runners good luck. Students will be leaving school at 9.30 and return at approx 12.30. Please remember to bring water, correct clothing and footwear and warm clothing for after.

Dear TY Students, Parents/Guardians The Royal College of Surgeons In Ireland is hosting a virtual Mini Science Programme for all students that are interested in STEM and/Biomedical Research opportunities on the 1st and 2nd of Feb 2022 The students will get a taste of working as a scientist, as well as advice on the CAO system, talks from chemists, physicists and biomedical scientists and advice on STEM opportunities/courses in Ireland. Please see the attached flyer for circulation as well as the link below for more information on the programme that we run each year. This year more students can avail of the programme, due to it being virtual.
