This is a reminder that the following programmes are now due to close to applications at mignight today 3rd February- • Clandillon Civil Consulting • DBFL Consulting Engineering • ESB When making an application please read all instructions on the site before you submit your application. Apply at: steps.smapply.io/ For programmes taking place in March all applications are to be completed by February 3rd 2021. Applications for all other programmes will stay open until February 16th 2021. Applications to UCD have closed.

Whether it’s a photo of the book you’re reading or your cup of tea in the evening, we all have little things that brighten our day and make lockdown life that little bit easier. Choirs for Cancer 2021 event will take place online tomorrow at 7pm on the Choirs for Cancer YouTube channel on Thursday the 4th of February (GMT). This is an invitation to TY students to enter the Regional Writing Centre’s essay competition. "To What extent is the current one-exam system of the Leaving Cert suitable and fair for students? Is there a better system that could be implemented in Ireland?" Here is a chance for you to engage in a social debate through writing and prepare yourself for argumentative writing at third level. For all our hockey players who miss their hockey and would like to spend some time perfecting their skills at home, Brendon Carolan, our high performance coach ,has put together a training session for our players. European Youth Parliament 2021 Invitation to TY

TY Students of LCF have been invited to participate in this year’s European Youth Parliament – Dublin Session. Eight students from LCF can participate. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in teamwork, communication, public speaking and current affairs, and the event will be a great contribution to CVs. It is also a great chance to make new friends in a positive learning environment which is, of course, extremely important, especially this year! EYP will take place virtually from the 1st -4th April 2021. More information about EYP can be found on your Tutor Class TEAM. If you wish to take part, please contact Ms Early by returning a letter explaining why you want to participate. This should be uploaded up to your Class Tutor TEAMS by Friday 5th February 2021. Cost will be €10.

Hey Guys, the Student Council here. We are back and better then ever. We're so excited to announce the Loreto Foxrock Lockdown Bake off as out first weekly activity! Each week we will be posting new challenges and activities on the Foxrock Games Instagram Account. For the bake off this week we want you to bake your best creations and submit a picture to our DMs. We have a selection of the Home Ec teachers who will judge the cakes. The last day for submission will be Friday the 5th of February. Winner will be announced on Monday the 8th of February. Happy Baking!!
