Dear Parent or Guardian

Here in Loreto Foxrock, we are delighted to be participating as a school in this wonderful programme, and hope that all our students and staff will get involved.
The idea is for everyone to logon and pledge to 'squeeze in a read' on Thursday 25th February. Details and how to pledge can be found HERE.
In addition, Michael D. Higgins has promoted the event HERE (YouTube video) which is part of the government's 'Keep Well' during Covid campaign.
Why participate? Because taking some time for yourself to relax and do the things you enjoy (like reading) is important to help look after your mental wellbeing. So go on everyone, take the pledge and see how many minutes people all over Ireland will be squeezing in to read on Thursday 25th February.
Ireland Reads is a public libraries initiative, in partnership with publishers, booksellers, authors and others under the Government’s Keep Well Campaign.
