Wednesday 10th activities include a Tea and Chat with John Lonergan, Former Governor of Mountjoy Prison - 'How to remain positive in a time of uncertainty - this will take pace at 11am. The RCSI Mini Medical & Mini Health Sciences 2021 programme, which will take place from the 22 – 26 February 2021. Registration closes at 16:00 today. This programme will encompass elements of the three schools of Medicine, Pharmacy & Physiotherapy. The event will be virtual & attendees will not be required to turn on their cameras/microphones. Students must register their interest - see your Team for links. We will then be in touch with those who have registered with a consent form that must be completed by a parent/guardian in order to receive details of the programme & links to tune in. Please note that there will be some graphic surgeries shown & these will be highlighted ahead of being aired. The following virtual events will take place between 09:00-12:30 each day. Chloe O'Hanlon, Class of 2021 has been awarded the Trinity College Entrance Scholars award as the highest achieving student from Loreto College Foxrock to enter Trinity College this year. There are a number of opportunities available to TY students - Sign Language workshop, EYP Dublin Sessions, STEPs Engineering, Galway University Journalism course, the Limerick University writing competition, and the CIF Challenge - 'A Home for Everyone' Design competition - all in the need of LCF TY students to sign up and take part. Details of all of these are on TEAMs. Be proactive, challenge yourself, you never know what can come from it.

The closing date of the CIF Challenge ‘A Home for Everyone’ has been extended from 7th February to 1st March. The competition ‘A Home for Everyone’ is a team-based project where students work together to design a home that helps ‘solve’ climate change, the housing crisis and addresses inclusivity. In other words, the house design should be eco-friendly, affordable and be suitable for elderly people or people with disabilities. Information of the competition has been updated on your TEAMS. Why not take on this challenge?
