Confirmed COVID 19 Case St Conleth & Mary's NS 9 October 2020
Created : 09 Oct 2020, 3:27 PM
Archived : 09 Dec 2020, 12:00 AM
A confirmed case of COVID-19 in St Conleths and Marys, has been notified to the Department of Public Health HSE. A public health risk assessment has been undertaken and the parents of any children deemed to be close contacts of the confirmed case have been contacted and advised accordingly. If your child is not identified as a close contact , your child does not need a test for Covid-19, they can continue to attend school, and no further actions are required at this time. Over the next few weeks if your child develops any symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 infection (such as a cough, a fever, loss or change in sense of taste or smell), please do not send your child to school, contact your GP and begin restricting your child’s movements, as per public health advice. Restricted movement means avoiding contact with other people and social situations as much as possible. It is also sometimes called ‘self-quarantine’. Further information on COVID-19 is available at: www.hpsc.ie and www.gov.ie

First Holy Communion Update
Created : 06 Oct 2020, 1:33 PM

We have just been informed that due to level 3 restrictions First Holy Communions are postponed. The following is a note from the parish: St. Conleth’s Parish Newbridge Update On First Holy Communions As per Government regulations outlined in the ‘Plan for Living with Covid19’ we are not allowed celebrate public Masses or Ceremonies (except for funerals & weddings) until we return to level 2. Therefor all First Communion ceremonies are postponed. We understand that this is difficult for the children and their families but unfortunately we have no choice in this matter. As the Parish Team we too are finding this difficult and are looking at various options for how we celebrate First Communions when we are allowed to do so.
