Options for Second Year

Good evening. I hope you are all keeping safe and that online learning is going well in your household. I have messaged your son/daughter on Microsoft Teams regarding their choice of options for 2nd Year. I know we are only in January but we are planning for next year nonetheless. All the details and guidance for yourselves and the students has been given through Teams. It is important that you consult with your son/daughter on these options for next year. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me by email cconway@isk.ie or by phone through the school. Can you please advise students to have option submitted by Friday 29th January. MS Teams Password

In light of yesterday's government announcement regarding online learning from next week, if students do not have their password to log in to their MS Teams or 365 account, a parent/guardian must email password@isk.ie to have it reset please. Thanks

Donut Day

Donut Day was a great success with a grand total of 598 donuts delivered to every corner of the building! The TY students would like to thank you all for your support and hope that you enjoy your tasty treat. Our thanks to John Dough's for coming up trumps on a very busy Toy Show Day for them. To those who were disappointed that we sold out we promise another Donut Day in the very near future!

Due to unprecedented demand the TYS are unable to take any further orders for Donut Day. The TY students would like to apologise to those who missed out this time and promise that there will be another opportunity to have a donut delivered to your desk in the near future!!

Our TYs continued with their Gaisce Programme today. A very productive day saw them planting 9 trees in the school grounds and 15 in Knocklyne Valley estate as part of their continuing Community Involvement Module. Any local estates or establishments that would like us to do some planting should contact the school and we will do all we can to oblige. Students also pruned and cleared, including some lovely work on a very special Sweet Gum tree that was planted in memory of Cathal Crowley, a pupil of the Intermediate School that was taken too soon - ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

When students take online exams - an understandable decision -. The number 0 will follow their result, eg.99 becomes 990. This is purely to signify that the exam was taken online.
Green Schools Travel Conference

Our TYs and Green Schools Committee tuned in online to the Green Schools Travel Conference 2020 today, which focused on the Government's Project Ireland 2040 Vision. Our aim is to achieve a Travel Flag for the school and play our part in solving the combined problems of climate change, biodiversity, and equality.
