All TY groups will attend a Forensic Science Workshop tomorrow. TY A & B from 9 – 11 TY C & D from 11:15 – 1:15 TY E & F from 1:55 - 3:45 Class as normal for the remainder of the day.

It is planned to commence Friday After School Study next Friday 22nd November and running until Friday 13th December. It will run from 1.45pm until 3.45pm. Our Sixth Year parent/teacher meeting is this Wednesday 11th December beginning at 4.15pm and finishing at 6.45pm. This is an opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss the learning progress of your student with their teachers. Please arrive early to give yourself ample time to meet all the relevant teachers.

TY Ice Skating

TY’s are going on their annual ice skating tutor trip next Monday 9th Dec to Dundrum. Students will be leaving at 9.15am and returning for 3.45pm. The total cost is €10. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Students are asked to complete the permission slip and return it and €10 to their tutor by Thursday 5th Dec. This is always a very enjoyable trip for the students. Ms. Mulligan

SECOND YEAR TRIP 2020 DESTINATION: Delphi Adventure Resort, Co. Galway DURATION: 3 nights, 4 days DATES AND TIMES: Leaving Scoil Mhuire at 9.30 am Friday 3rd April. Returning to Scoil Mhuire at 5 pm Monday 6th April NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 100 students maximum. COST PER STUDENT: €300. This includes travel to and from Delphi, accommodation and all meals at Delphi. Students will only need a small amount of money for lunch on the way to and back from Delphi and for snacks from the vending machine at Delphi. DEPOSIT DUE: To secure a place €100 deposit is required by Friday November 29th 2019. The deposit should be given in to the office. The first 100 students to pay will secure a place. Our school canteen providers will open the canteen after school between 3.45pm and 4pm for students in Evening Study. This will be on a trial basis over the next few weeks.

Unfortunately boys basketball has to be postponed tomorrow Monday (25th). It is hoped it can be rescheduled for Tuesday evening if the Gym is free. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Success in the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu World Championships

Huge Congratulations to Brandon Blake in Second Year on his success in the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu World Championships during the summer where he was narrowly pipped to the gold in the final. Congratulations also on his achievement in winning gold in the Irish National Jiu-jitsu League Finals on the 14th September. We are all very proud of the dedication and commitment he has shown to be so successful. We also wish Brandon all the very best of luck in the Irish Open Jiu-jitsu Championships on 28th September!
