Please view the document attached for the arrangements for our Third Year students during their mock examinations. Students must go to option classes when their tutor group are scheduled for them - all remaining students are scheduled for study at these times. Teachers may arrange to take additional students to their classroom at these or other times that students are not sitting an examination - this is at the discretion of individual teachers - it is dependent on space in the rooms, supervision rota etc. This is the first time that students have the facility to continue their practical work during mock examinations - they should make full use of this opportunity. Additional time will not be taken from other subjects later in the year.

Congratulations to the U/15 Boys soccer team who were crowned Midland League Champions today. The lads showed great heart to come back from being 4-1 down with only 15 minutes left. Taylor Mooney got two goals back for Clane before a injury time equaliser from Daniel Malone sent the game into extra-time. Clane took the lead in extra-time with a well taken goal from Ruadhán Kane. Newbridge PBS equalised in the 2nd half of extra-time to send the game to penalties. Clane held out to complete the comeback winning 5-4 on penalties. Well done again to all team and coaches. We wish them the best of luck as they now progress into the Leinster League competition.
Late to school explanations

Dear parent/guardian,
We wish to provide some clarity in relation to an explanation for a student arriving to school late. Please do your best to send in the explanation before 8.10am. Please be advised that you may receive a text message at approximately 9.45am to inform you that your student is absent from school without an explanation. This should not be of concern for you as your student will be arriving to school later and you have provided an explanation on our App. Once your student arrives to school they will be recorded as being explained that morning. We cannot mark a student explained for the day or a portion of a day until they actually arrive in school.
If your student is going to be absent for the full day please submit an explanation using "absent notes" on our App before 8.10am. They will then be marked explained for that day. If you submit an explanation after 8.10am you may receive a text message to inform you that your student is not in school. Again you should ignore this text since you have submitted an explanation. There is no need to contact the school in this situation. The system will pick up your explanation overnight. Finally, please send in a "permission to leave" explanation if on a rare occasion your student must leave school early for an unavoidable appointment - before 8.10am please. Thank you for your continued support.
