Good luck to Jack McIvor (4F), Tom Nuzum (4A), Adam Fadian (3A) and Senan O'Rourke (2E) who are representing Naas CBS at the Division 1 All-Ireland Badminton Final in Gormanston tomorrow. They face St. Flannan's College, Ennis and RBAI, Belfast in the final.

Our First Years had a fantastic opportunity on Monday to take part in an interview with NASA Astronaut Chris Hadfield. They are currently learning about Earth and Space in their Science classes. The boys got to hear firsthand how Chris realised his dream of becoming an astronaut, his links to Ireland and also what daily life is like in space. It was an enjoyable experience for them all.

Senior Footballers' All-Ireland Success is Celebrated at Naas CBS

Our Senior Footballers' All-Ireland Title was celebrated at assemblies on Friday. The Hogan and Br. Bosco Cups and the signed match ball were on display, as the team was introduced to each year group. Mr. Travers acknowledged this historic achievement as well as the great work, commitment and attitude that underpins such success..
Thanks to management for arranging the barbecues for students and staff. A barbecue was available to all students at lunchtime on Thursday, while staff celebrated with the Senior Football Team at their barbecue on Friday. Thanks to Fran for serving up delicious food to such large numbers of people. The beautiful sunshine added to the carnival atmosphere!

Well done to our U-16 Football Team who qualified for the Leinster Final after beating St. Mels, Longford yesterday in Kilbeggan on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-9.

Meitheal Graduation

Our Meitheal Leaders attended their graduation ceremony in Cill Mhuire Church, Newbridge on Wednesday evening. Meitheal Co-ordinator Robert Norton and Bishop Denis Nulty acknowledged the 6th Year students' participation in the leadership programme and commended their great work with 1st Year students throughout the year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Meitheal Leaders for their wonderful work in mentoring the 1st Years and to praise them for having such a positive influence on their peers. The Meitheal Leaders offered invaluable support to our 1st Year students, helping them settle into secondary school and organising fun events for them to enjoy with their peers. The Meitheal Team contributed positively to school life during a very challenging year for all.
Gentlemen, I wish you every success in your future endeavours and in any leadership roles you may hold.

Senior Soccer Team Win Midlands League

Our Senior Soccer Team had a hard fought 3-0 win over Portlaoise CBS in the Midlands League Final last week. The lads showed unbelievable courage to come from 2-0 down. The goals were scored by Liam Burke, Carl Lennox and Eoghan Rogers. An excellent way to finish the year by an exceptional bunch of young men.

Naas CBS are All-Ireland Senior 'A' Football Champions after defeating St. Brendan's College, Killarney 3-14 to 2-15. What a team, what a performance, what an occasion!
The staff, students and wider community of Naas CBS are so proud of this team. It is a fantastic achievement and so well-deserved after all the time, effort and dedication from those involved. Huge congratulations to all the players and to the management: Mr. Cribben, Mr. Fitzpatrick and Mr. Hughes.
Our Senior Footballers are the first Kildare school to win the Hogan Cup. This Naas CBS Team will go down in history and St. Patrick's Day 2022 will live long in the memories of so many in the Naas CBS Community!

All Roads Lead to Croker for the All-Ireland Hogan Cup Final Tomorrow

It is a massive occasion for the Naas CBS Community tomorrow as we support our Senior Football Team playing in the All-Ireland Senior 'A' Hogan Cup Final in Croke Park! The team take on St. Brendan's College, Killarney at 2pm and there is live coverage of the match on TG4.
Best of luck to all the players involved and to the team managers: Mr. Cribben, Mr. Fitzpatrick and Mr. Hughes. The staff, students and wider Naas CBS Community are immensely proud of you all. Hopefully the Hogan Cup will be coming back to Naas CBS tomorrow evening!
