Alex, who is a TY student, has been training Mixed Martial Arts since he was 9 years old under the stewardship of Sergey Pikulskey at SBG Naas and Alex trains 6 days a week at SBG Naas, SBG Charlestown and Crumlin Boxing Club.
His achievements over many years reflect his dedication. Alex is multiple Irish, British, European and World gold medallist in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Irish MMA gold medallist for the last two years at Featherweight division.
In 2021, he was selected as part of the elite Irish squad and represented Ireland at the prestigious IMMAF cadet (U18) world championship when he won a bronze medal.
After a vigorous selection process in Belfast and Dublin over recent months,
Last Sunday Alex won gold at the Irish national MMA championship in Belfast, and was again selected to represent Ireland in Abu Dhabi in August at the IMMAF U18 World Championships.
We are all very proud of Alex's achievements and looking forward to what is to come!

Archived : 17 Jul 2022, 12:00 AM
The Green Schools Committee would like to thank the school community for engaging so well in the Travel Theme. We are delighted that we have been awarded another Green Flag which is a great achievement. However, the school year is not over and we still have a couple of events ahead.
This week is Bike Week so we would like to encourage everyone to make an effort to cycle to school, especially on Wednesday as it is a ‘Cow Day’ (Cycle on Wednesday). The Green Schools Committee will be recording the bikes that enter the school on Wednesday along with the names of students. These names will be entered into a draw for a selection of bike-related prizes.
