Mock Interviews Evening 2019

Mock Interviews for all 6th Year students will take place next Tuesday evening 19th November. All students should meet in the school library at 6.30pm for light refreshments beforehand with the Interviews commencing at 7.00pm sharp. Neat dress is essential, a suit, shirt and tie or school uniform. Students are also advised to revisit their CV’s in advance and research their intended career/course to optimise the benefit of the evening. A sheet of potential interview questions has been provided to each student. Rotary Leadership Competition Success

Huge congratulations to 5th Year student Eoin Keogh who was successful in winning the second round of the Rotary Leadership competition yesterday evening. Eoin will now progress to the Zone Final with the possibility of winning an all expenses paid trip to the Dail, Stormont and the European Parliament. We wish Eoin the very best of luck going forward.

On the 14th November classes 3D & 3E traveled to the Dáil as part of their CSPE class project. Please see attached PDF which is an article from student Matthew Davis in 3E about the trip. Well done to both classes for their organisation in putting this trip together and many thanks to Ms. Lonergan for her work in facilitating this trip.

Reminder: 1st Year Parents/Guardians & students, The Meitheal Leaders have organised the annual 1st Year Disco for Naas CBS and St. Mary's College. Date: Friday 15th November Time: 7.00 to 9.30p.m. Location: Naas CBS Assembly Hall Tickets are €7 and are now on sale from the Meitheal Leaders. As per school policy mobile phones are not permitted on the night, We strongly encourage First Years to attend; it is always a fun evening!
3rd Year DAT’s Testing

Parents/Guardians of 3B, 3D and 3F Students, As per the School Calendar, D.A.T.’s (Differential Aptitude Test) testing will take place on Friday 15th November from 9.00am sharp until approx. 1.00pm for all students in 3B, 3D and 3F classes. Please ensure your son has Pencils, Eraser, Sharpener and Ruler with him for the tests. No calculator or paper is needed, and schoolbooks are not required for this day. Healthy Hearts Permission Form

Dear Parent/Guardian, Before the midterm break we sent information via the school app about the Healthy Hearts screening. This will take place here in our school on Monday December 2nd and Wednesday December 4th for all Transition Year and Senior Cycle students. The cost of this cardiac screening is €40 per student. Each participant will be required to fill out a permission slip, questionnaire and consent form prior to the screening. The permission form is now available on the school app under the 'Permission forms' tab and the €40 fee can now be paid on our schools payment system Easy Payments Plus. Please complete the online permission form and make payment before Friday 22nd November. Many thanks

A reminder to all parents/guardians that throughout the year all year groups will be involved with different workshops and guest speakers in relation to Guidance and Wellbeing. The Guidance/Wellbeing fee covers the cost of Wellbeing books, testing, workshops, guest speakers and the higher options trip for 6th Years. All 5th Year Wellbeing classes will partake in an interactive workshop exploring different leadership strengths in the Assembly on Monday 18th November from 9.40 - 11.00am.
