John Lonergan - Talk for Parents
Created : 24 Feb 2020, 3:10 PM
Archived : 02 May 2020, 12:00 AM
On Tuesday 3rd March at 7.00pm former Governor of Mountjoy Prison, John Lonergan, will give a presentation to parents in the school assembly area. John will also be meeting our Transition Year students on Tuesday afternoon.
John Lonergan entered the prison service in 1968 and in the years that followed, he saw human nature at its worst - and often, unexpectedly, at its best. He developed a deep understanding both of human nature and of Irish society.
The presentation entitled 'Parenting - the challenges and the rewards' lasts about one hour and is a reflective and awareness-raising look at parenting.
All welcome.

‘Walk for Water’ - Naas CBS

The Green School Committee and a large group of 5th year students took action today between 12 and 1 pm in Naas town. They engaged in a walk for water through the streets to highlight the struggle of many in third world countries who have to walk long distances each day to collect water to meet their daily needs. They also wanted to make people aware of the need to conserve water and so they displayed posters and chanted our Green Code slogan.. "Turn off the tap, turn off the shower, save water every hour" .
We are currently tackling the water theme at Naas CBS and this is one of a number of Green school activities that we have engaged in.
Many thanks to Ms Cowper for all of her work with this initiative.
