Vourneen Hennessy of Naas Tidy Towns came to the school today to present our TY students with a lovely gift in appreciation for all the work our students do throughout the year for Naas Tidy Towns. Today alone we have two teams of litter pickers working in the town. Also, today our TY students were busy in our garden, preparing soil, weeding, clipping grass and general garden maintenance. Later today they will plant summer bedding and various seeds. Larry Swan of Swans On The Green very kindly donated four bags of compost and eight trays of summer bedding flowers to our garden and orchard. Well done to everyone involved and many thanks to Jamie Moore 3rd Year for the photos.

Green Schools Committee

Last Thursday, the Green Schools Committee made signs and posters about car idling. The committee urges drivers to turn off engines when waiting. Driving leads to pollution and health risks and is the reason why Ireland has the third highest emissions of greenhouse gases per capita in the EU. We ask that those who can walk or cycle, please do so and those who do drive to and from school to turn their engines off while parked outside of the school. Every 1 minute spent Idling is equal to 1 km of driving. And for every 5 minutes spent idling, 1kg of CO2 is released. Please click 'View gallery' for more images.

To Parents/Guardians of Leaving Certificate Students, In regards to our 6th Year Graduation ceremony please see the attached PDF which has also been posted to your home. In the climate that we are currently in we would really appreciate your support with the arrangements made for Thursday 20th May which are outlined in the letter. The lads have been excellent to date and we hope to finish the school term in a safe and positive manner. We hope all of you can join us next Thursday. The live link will be sent to you via the school app a few minutes before the ceremony starts at 6.00pm. As of today we are providing supervised study for 6th Years. Study is optional as some students might prefer to study from home but we would ask, with covid health and safety, that if your son decides to attend study, he is here from 9.00am - 4.00pm each day. We will provide study for the next two weeks, up to Thursday 27th May. Many thanks for all your commitment and support over the years with the class of 2021. Kind regards, Ben Travers
