School Fees 2021/22

Dear Parents and Guardians, Our school fees will go live on the app at 4.00pm today and can be accessed under the 'Shop' heading on the side panel of the app screen (please see images below). Please ensure you have successfully downloaded and registered the school app to make use of all the facilities available to parents. Transition Year
A huge well done and thank you to studnets of class 4A who spent their week volunterring in various aspects of the community. Please see some photos of students in McCauley Place (Steve, Hugh, Ryan & Ben), and Jack Kavanagh who worked with the Caragh Court Residents Association. Your efforts make a huge difference in the community and we look forward to the rest of the year group getting out over the course of the year!
School Calendar 2021/22

The school calendar for the next academic year is now available on the school app (please see image below) and a hardcopy of this calendar will be distributed to students when they return to school. The return dates for each year group are listed below: 31st August - 1st Years 1st September - 6th Years 2nd September - 3rd Years 3rd September - 5th Years 6th September - 2nd Years 7th September - 4th Years Further details regarding times etc. will be sent at the end of next week. 6th Year DCG students, If you would like to use a board for the Leaving Certificate Exam, they can be collected from Room 2/2 half an hour before the exam on Thursday.
Naas CBS School Jumper

A few years ago the Student Council and student body expressed an interest in updating the school jumper (photograph no.1 above). As a response to these requests we have been exploring possible changes. In the academic year 2018 - 2019 a half-zip jumper was created. This jumper (visible in photograph no.2 below) had fleece inside as the boys were complaining of the current jumper irritating their skin. It was a half-zip with a stand up collar and two pockets. We trialed this for our 4th, 5th and 6th year students only at the time. We felt if it was successful we would introduce the new jumper to all year groups. It was not compulsory for students to buy this jumper - the traditional school jumper is always an option. For this coming academic year 2021 - 2022, a new O'Neill's half-zip jumper has been created as a result of further feedback from both the student body and Parent's Council. It is our intention that this will be the main school jumper going forward. As previously mentioned, the option to wear the traditional school jumper is an option too. This new half-zip is available to purchase now from either Richie Whelan's Menswear or Mardec Clothing in Naas. Photograph no.2 (the 2018 half-zip) will become obsolete going forward but is still an option for anyone who has already previously purchased it. A reminder that it is mandatory that all school jumpers/half-zip's are worn with the shirt and tie. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school. 6th Year School Ties

6th Year Students - We would be grateful if you would give your old school tie to the school. We will use these for students who do not have ties or who may struggle to get a full uniform during the year. Please drop the tie to the office anytime. Your support is very much appreciated
LC - Construction Studies Exam
