Meet Muffin, our wonderful therapy dog! Newfoundlands are known for their gentle and friendly nature, making them great companions for therapy and emotional support.
Muffin visited our school during Wellbeing week and brought joy to both students and staff. Dogs like Muffin have a special way of brightening people’s days and providing comfort and emotional support. It's great to see the positive impact that therapy animals can have on the overall wellbeing of those they interact with.
Muffin is becoming such a beloved member of our school community.
Thank you to Ms. Skelton for sharing Muffin the dog with us.

Some of our TY students are braving the elements to fundraise for Breakthrough Cancer Research around Naas town.
Please support them if you see them!
Congratulations to 66 of our 5th Year students who received the Bronze Gaisce Award in recognition of their commitment to The President's Award during T.Y.
To achieve the award, the boys completed the required number of weeks for their selected physical activity, personal skill and community involvement. They also participated in the adventure trip to Carlingford. Well done to all!
We would encourage the current T.Y. students to use their time productively and work towards achieving the Bronze Gaisce Award this year.

The 1st Year table quiz is on this Friday 6th October from 11.15-1.10 and students are reminded to bring in €2 tomorrow if they have not already paid. The Meitheal Leaders will be collecting the last of the money tomorrow. This is to cover the cost of prizes that will be awarded to the winning teams.
Thanks to the Meitheal Team for their great work in organising this event for 1st Years. It is a nice social opportunity in the first term of school and there are great prizes to be won!

Well done to our Senior Volleyball Team who won their two games yesterday, defeating Celbridge Community School and Mountrath Community School. We are very proud of your excellent performance.

Over the course of the week we will have a number of organised activities for all students.
All our 1st Year Modern Foreign Language students had great fun this week when our school marked European Languages Day. They were given the opportunity to sample some French and German treats (i.e. fresh Croissants, Kinderschokolade (German chocolate) and an Apfelschorle (a German apple drink)). Students were able to share what they have learned in their respective languages so far. Today, we also invited all our students to wear a European jersey of their choice to celebrate different cultures and languages.
Kind regards from the MFL Department.
