It was fantastic to see so many of our TY students in for one last time today for their Graduation.

Best of luck to our students on the Kildare Minor Football Team who play Dublin in the Leinster MFC Final this evening: Rob Murray, Alex Lenehan, Dara Cooke, Elias Dlhos, Liam O'Connor and Oisin Loughran.
On Friday, May 5th, our school community wore yellow and walked to fundraise for Pieta House. A total of €2000 was raised. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our school community for their generosity in raising such vital funds for Pieta House's lifesaving work. Final assemblies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Years took place last week. Awards were presented to the best academic student and the most improved student in each form class. The sports awards went to Tadhg O'Neill (1st Year), Cillian Long (2nd Year), Cian McKevitt (3rd Year) and Daniel Hamill (5th Year). Well done to all!

The annual T.Y. soccer tournament was a huge success again this year. Classes 4F and 4D made it to a final! The final was an epic battle finishing at 6-6. In the penalty shootout 4F were victorious thanks to two fine saves from Chris Clarke.

1st Years enjoyed their Sports Day on Friday. Students participated in novelty races and a scavenger hunt and they played badminton, tag rugby, soccer and basketball. The ice-cream van went down a treat too! Thank you to Year Head Ms. Ashe and to P.E. teachers Ms. Kilcoyne, Ms. Purcell and Mr. Joyce for organising the day. Thanks also to the 5th Year students who helped out with the activities. Well done to 1st Year students for their participation and good behaviour.
The success of Naas CBS U-15 Cross Country Team and Senior Footballer Team was celebrated on Monday evening. Our U-15 Cross Country Team are All-Ireland Champions and our Senior Footballers are Senior A Leinster Champions for 2023. Kildare senior footballers and Naas CBS past-pupils Paddy McDermott and Alex Beirne presented the lads with their medals.
