A reminder that all Transition Year students start work experience next Monday 13th November.
I have created a website which allows for quick access to any links, forms or documents that are relevant to Transition Year. The forms for work experience are included.
This site can be accessed here
I will update this during the year.
All relevant documentation (Insurance, letters to the employer) are also available in students Google Classrooms.
All students must complete a project based on their work experience. The template for this project is available in their Tutorials Google Classroom under the 'Work Experience' section.
The project template can be viewed here
It is a good idea to for all students to continuously prepare for their Christmas Portfolio Assessment by updating their digital portfolios. There are only 3 weeks of school after work experience finishes to prepare for this assessment.

Congratulations to Samuel Cooke in 2nd Year who has been selected for the Republic of Ireland U-15 Soccer Squad. He will be playing his first international match away to Serbia at the end of November. Samuel has worked extremely hard over the past year to reach this level of playing. Well done on this fantastic achievement Samuel!
Congratulations to our Junior Rugby Team on their victory over St. Andrew's in Naas RFC on Wednesday. The final score was 13-10. The Naas try was scored by Rian Cullen and converted by Matthew Costello who also scored two penalties. St. Andrew's came back strongly in the second half. Their Number 10 ran over two tries but missed the two conversions. It was a good, clean match and Naas CBS remain undefeated and at the top of the table. The next match is against St. Patrick's, Navan after mid-term. Thanks to our coach Conor Brophy for volunteering so much of his free time.

A reminder that our first work experience block starts shortly after our return to school from the 13th – 24th November. All students are expected to have a placement and will be required to complete a small project based on their experiences.
I have included a link to our school’s insurance form here
I have also included a letter which can be sent to employers
Any queries please contact me via email sc@naascbs.ie
Kind regards,
