Well done to all our singers, musicians and readers who performed at the Edmund Rice Schools’ Trust (ERST) Principals’ Conference in Johnstown House Estate, Enfield last week. The theme of the conference was partnership. The students put together a mix of reflective and uplifting readings and songs to symbolise the values of ERST and to show the meaning of partnership in our communities.
It was great to hear our students coming together to showcase the values of the Edmund Rice Schools' Trust (ERST) through music and readings on the theme of promoting partnership. These kinds of gatherings can be a powerful way to inspire and remind everyone of the importance of working together and fostering a sense of community. It's also a testament to the talents and dedication of the singers, musicians, and readers who participated in the conference. Celebrating and promoting such values can have a lasting impact on the school community and beyond.
We extend our gratitude to ERST for their excellent care during the event and we sincerely hope they enjoyed our performance.

Our annual Open Night took place yesterday evening. There was a great buzz around the school as management, teachers and students welcomed prospective students and their parents to Naas CBS. A sample of activities from various subjects and extra-curricular activities were on display.
Thanks to all staff for facilitating such an informative and engaging Open Night. Thanks also to the students who volunteered to be involved in Open Night and especially the 5th and 6th Years who led the tours around the school.

From Monday 2nd to Friday 6th October Naas CBS celebrated their annual Wellbeing Week. During the week all students got the opportunity to engage in a number of activities to raise awareness and highlight the importance of wellbeing and of minding ourselves every week.
Students learned about ways to look after and promote their wellbeing. They also went on walks around Naas and enjoyed the fresh air and good weather while it lasted!
Throughout the week therapy dog Muffin visited a number of classes and students learned about the benefits of dog therapy.
Thank you to the Meitheal Leaders for their great work in organising a very enjoyable table quiz for 1st Year students. Thanks also to the teachers who helped with supervision. Well done to the 1st Years for participating in such good spirits. They had the opportunity to mix with their peers from other classes and test their knowledge on sport, music, geography and trivia. Meet Muffin, our wonderful therapy dog! Newfoundlands are known for their gentle and friendly nature, making them great companions for therapy and emotional support.
Muffin visited our school during Wellbeing week and brought joy to both students and staff. Dogs like Muffin have a special way of brightening people’s days and providing comfort and emotional support. It's great to see the positive impact that therapy animals can have on the overall wellbeing of those they interact with.
Muffin is becoming such a beloved member of our school community.
Thank you to Ms. Skelton for sharing Muffin the dog with us.

Some of our TY students are braving the elements to fundraise for Breakthrough Cancer Research around Naas town.
Please support them if you see them!
Congratulations to 66 of our 5th Year students who received the Bronze Gaisce Award in recognition of their commitment to The President's Award during T.Y.
To achieve the award, the boys completed the required number of weeks for their selected physical activity, personal skill and community involvement. They also participated in the adventure trip to Carlingford. Well done to all!
We would encourage the current T.Y. students to use their time productively and work towards achieving the Bronze Gaisce Award this year.
