Well done to our 5th Years who took part in their Ecology Field Study in Lullymore. They carried out both qualitative and quantitative research of plants and animals on the Western Plantation Woodland Ecosystem. They also got a chance to learn about The Famine and Neolithic History, meeting a Neolithic man along the way. Following this, they learned about how the bog is being rejuvenated and about the plants and animals that live in the bog. Thank you for being so well behaved. Overall an enjoyable and interesting day.

Well done to our Junior Tennis Team who defeated Donabate C.C. 5-0 in the Leinster Boys Schools Tennis Competition today in Donabate Portrane Tennis Club.

Some of our TY students had the opportunity to make their own personalised Bodhráns this week in school.
Thanks to Michael Vignoles who is bodhran and Uilleann pipe maker, a musician and craftsman from the Claddagh, Galway City.
Huge thanks also to Ms.Byrne who facilitated and organised the workshop for the lads.
Yesterday, some of our Transition Year students had the exciting opportunity to visit the headquarters of Kerry Group.
During the tour, they explored various departments and had the chance to meet the incredible staff members who work there.
The students engaged in several interactive activities including taste tests, creating their own flavoured Coca-Cola variations, and discovering the unique smells and aromas that make up various familiar scents we experience in food products.
Additionally, they benefited from career talks given by various professionals at the company, providing valuable insights into the diverse career paths available within the industry.
A huge thank you is owed to all at Kerry Group who accommodated our students so well.
And another huge thank you is owed to Lynda McGilloway who coordinated the afternoon and offered this unique opportunity to our school.
5th and 6th Year Music Classes enjoyed a trip to the National Concert Hall on Tuesday 16th April. They went to see Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture being performed by the RTE National Symphony Orchestra. It was a great learning experience as they were taken through the analysis of the entire work with demonstrations from the musicians. A great day out had by all!
