<23>sc@naascbs.ieDear 3rd Year Parents & Guardians,
Many of your sons may be considering applying for a place in Transition Year for 2024/25, while some may want to continue straight to 5th year.
It is very important that you make an informed decision on this choice. This evening I am hosting an online talk for parents & students to provide details and information around Transition Year here in Naas CBS. This includes a breakdown of the year, and all you need to know with regards to the application process.
Hopefully it can give a better insight into TY and all that is involved in the year. I will also meet all of the 3rd year groups individually to give them information on the year.

<38>sc@naascbs.ieHard luck to our Senior Rugby Team who were narrowly beaten by Presentation College Bray in the Vinny Murray Cup in Donnybrook Stadium on Wednesday. Everyone played their heart out and we are very proud of you all. Thank you to those who helped out on the day and a special thank you to all our supporters. Your wonderful singing and chanting made a difference. Another special thank you to Mick Cahill for coaching the team and for all his hard work for many years supporting rugby in the school. Best of luck to our Junior Rugby Team who play Good Counsel, New Ross next Thursday 18th in the Fr. Godfrey Cup.
Ms. Houlihan
Well done to our Senior Hurlers who beat Wexford CBS 1-14 to 1-12 in the Leinster B Quarter-Final on Wednesday.

<38>sc@naascbs.ieThe Junior Rugby team had a fantastic win on Thursday defeating St. Andrew’s College in the first round of the Father Godfrey Cup.
Well done to the Senior Soccer Team on reaching the Midlands League Final. The lads won their semi-final against PBS Newbridge 3-0 with Ross Ward scoring a hat trick. The lads also have a Leinster Cup Last 16 tie to look forward to!
Mr. Fitzbibbon
The new boxing club in Naas CBS was very popular before Christmas and training resumes this Thursday after school.
Mr. Stephens
Our school choir and musicians visited Craddockstown nursing home last week to sing Christmas carols for the residents. It was a lovely afternoon for all involved and the choir were delighted to share their musical talents and some Christmas spirit with the community. Many thanks to Mary Darker for allowing us to perform for the residents. We wish all the staff and residents in Craddockstown a very happy Christmas!
