Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Junior Cycle students the very best of luck with their examinations starting tomorrow. I am attaching their timetable so parents have it at home. Please ensure your daughter has the correct exam materials with her for the exams she is taking (pens, calculator, rulers, maths set, colouring pencils etc), be here at 8.40am ready to sit in the exam centre for 9.00am sharp and in full school uniform.

Dear Parents & Guardians,

For the past 23 years I have taught and been Acting Principal in Mount Carmel. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff and to teach the most amazing students in the World! 

For 23 years I have travelled into this school looking forward to each and every day. Alas my time has come to say goodbye. I am moving to a school that is closer to my home and family. 

It is with a heavy heart that I leave Mount Carmel this Summer and I would like to express my sincerest thanks to all the people in our community. To the students, staff & parents thank you for everything.

Please see attached a letter from Mr Gerard Cullen, teacher from 1997-2006, principal of Mount Carmel from 2006-2020 and on secondment from 2020-2024.

We would like to wish him sincere gratitude and thanks for all the years hard work he put into our school and wish him every success in the future.

TY student Sarajane Jourdan-Dorster, our french exchange student, joined the Mount Carmel Community for the year. She returned home today, but not before Ms Barry organised a going away picnic for her and the TY class to bid farewell.

Today our 3rd years celebrated their graduation from JCSP. A huge congratulations to all the students and their teachers. The students all received their JCSP profile of achievement. These profiles contain their statements of work completed over their 3 years of junior cycle. We were very proud of classes Eithne, Sorcha and Caoimhe today. Well done to all of you! We wish you the best of luck in your exams
