LC Oral Exams Calendar for Easter 2024

Dear Parents/Guardians of 6th Year Students,

please see attached the calendar for the Leaving Certificate Oral Exams in Modern Foreign Languages including French & Irish. Students are fully aware of the times. The exams are running from Saturday 23rd to Wednesday 27th March. Should you need to contact the school in an emergency during the exam period please call/WhatsApp on 0860200299.

All-Ireland semi-final for our fantastic Volleyball team

Our 2nd year team has qualified for All-Ireland Semi-final in Div.5 after winning over Rockford Manor and losing to Newton School. Great achievement in their first year of inter-school competition!
Great Badminton blitz in the King's Hospital School

Twelve of our U16 players have been invited to a Badminton blitz in the King's Hospital School today. It was a great craic and all the girls enjoyed it with plenty of games played throughout the day. Great way to wrap up a very successful badminton season.

What a fantastic way to start our bank holiday weekend! Students enjoyed delicious icecream from www.alansicecreamforhire.ie before dancing into the Halla for dancing, singing, ceol agus craic! Huge thank you to all the staff for your help. Reminder we are closed for the bank holiday on Monday and open again as normal on Tuesday 19th March.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

we will enjoy our Céilí Mór tomorrow in the school hall until 1.30pm. The students have been practicing their reels and jigs with the Irish Department, who have organised live musicians to come in and play, including our past pupil Shauna!

Students should wear their PE tracksuit and are very welcome to accessorise with 40 shades of Green (hairbands, nail polish, eyeshadow, rings, bracelets, earrings socks etc). 

The Staff & Board of Management would like to wish the Mount Carmel School Community a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!

54 Schools, 2500 students & 22 songs! Tonight we celebrate our school choir taking part in this fabulous event in the Helix on DCU campus Dublin. Well done to Ms Murtagh, Ms Farrelly & Ms Tavey for all their help, preparation & practice!

Lots of activity in our JCSP Library on World Book Day. 


We had staff and students dressing up as book characters, Book Bingo with lots of prizes, a whole school Drop Everything and Read and a Book & Bun event during lunchtime and a Crochet Workshop delivered by a 2nd year parent.
