First Year Students only

On Thursday March 21st, our current first year students will not have any school, to facilitate a Transitioning Day for our incoming first years of 2019/2020. School will continue as scheduled for all other year groups.

First year Home Economics were busy with preparation of fruit salads for all of their year group. We would like to thank Garvey's for their sponsorship of the Fruit and we are delighted to announce that the fruit salads were enjoyed by all.
Victory for our 1st and 2nd year boys' basketball

Our 1st and 2nd year boys' basketball teams had great wins yesteray against Dingle. Both teams played great games of basketball and we were delighted to come out on top at both age groups. The boys were also successful last week against Killorglin. Lets hope we can keep up the winning streak now against our next opponent Causeway Comp.
Senior Girls win again

Another successful outing for the Senior Girls Soccer team. Ava Fitzgerald scored the only goal of the game against a strong, defensive Castletroy College.it keeps the girls firmly at the top of the Shannon Side League with 3 wins from 3.Pictured here after a visit to their beloved McDonald's.

Thanks to all the teachers who shared the story of their Writes of Passage - the books that meant most to them growing up. On Thursday to celebrate World Book Day we will all write the story or book that meant something to us on a bookmark and they will all be displayed in the Library.

Congratulations to our 1st Yr Boys ‘B’ team on winning the shield competition in North Kerry 1st year 9 aside blitz played in Tarbert today. Hard luck to our ‘A’ team who were unlucky on the day. Special thanks to our TY’s from our future leaders programme who helped run the event. Also to Finucane & Langan families Tarbert for sponsoring the event.

Write the text conversation that might occur between two characters in a novel, play or film you have studied. Have fun and be creative. Prizes for the most entertaining! Entry forms available from English teachers and on the Literacy Board. All entries to be in the box in the Library by Monday.

A reminder that the Program option information evening for Third Year Parents' will take place tomorrow Thursday Feb. 28th @ 7:00 p.m. in the school library. Transition Year Parents' will have heard this information last year but please feel free to attend if you would like to refresh your knowledge of the LC1 & LCA1 programs.
